This is a beautiful camp ground with a great bathhouse. The sites were generously sized and well maintained. The one negative thing was that the power was out for the first day of our stay. Thats not a huge deal except that not having power meant no bathrooms. Its too bad that the bathhouse couldnt have a generator so that it could be useful even when the campground was without power.

We stayed in the 3a/3b group site. It was setup nicely, right on the creek. My biggest problem was the road right behind our RV. Not a lot of night traffic, but many motorcycles and a few groups of rally cars during the day. The site was in fantastic condition when we arrived! Cudos to the host!

We love it here! Come several times a year. We learned a valuable lesson this time. Buy several big fire extinguishers. Those little white ones do NOTHING and it takes emergency services a long time to get there. We tried everything we could to help a fellow camper put out a fire in his camper but ended up just watching it burn. Thank goodness everyone was safe!

I'm local to the Parksville area. My family has camped at Parksville Lake Campground aka Greasy Creek pretty much all my 60 year life. Alot of things have changed over those years. My camping experience was great! The camp host was a very nice man even though it appeared that he couldn't do anything to please the Forrestry worker(s) that drove thru. The bathrooms were much cleaner than they've been in years. I can't understand why they can't keep a camp host. Also, they need a pay phone or some means of contacting help in an emergency situation since there's no cell phone service in the area.
