I love this little campground. This is the second year in a row we've spent Mother's Day here with my kids and their families. We stayed in sites 11 and 12. The staff is super friendly and they keep everything super clean. I plan to return.

This campground overall is a small enough size to not seem overcrowded. This is a preference to me as busy RV campgrounds are not appealing to me at all. I think medium to small sized vehicles are better suited in this park. The surrounding area is nice with the TN mountains, Ocoee River and Lake sharing a shoreline. However, I was disappointed there was no good lake access to swim from or to manage a kayak. Its not groomed for lake access. One can rent a tent site near the water if you like having close neighbors and no electricity option. On the RV side, #12 is a nice site except you are very close to your #11 neighbor. Get to know them because your two sites are really one big one. This could be a good place to meet up and share. I expected this but picked #12 for a different reason and scheduled my time for this site. It is on the end with 180 degree privacy and on the creek. I wanted a cool creek or river to enjoy. However, I didnt expect to have the fallen trees from a big storm a few weeks ago all piled at the site and blocking all access to the creek for sites #11 and #12. I know nature is unpredictable and creates challenges. Perhaps the park is slow in recovery, or is ok with it as it is. It would have been nice to know in advance to consider choosing another site. The good-side? There was plenty of firewood. At least cutting tree sections on the creek path to allow a walkthrough would be easy enough with a few minutes and a chainsaw. Call ahead to check on current conditions if you are seeking privacy and refreshing waters. The baths were clean. The hosts seem to take care of things well. Not a bad experience, but this particular experience is just Good at 3 stars. I would consider returning when visiting the area, but may try a different campground.

The campsite was great and our first two days were great. But our trip was cut short due to storms that damaged our travel trailer. I had to go to the emergency for lacerations on my foot and my sister's car was damaged. I'm giving the bad review because of the lack of response and rudeness of the camp hosts. Worst camp hosts we have ever experienced and we camp a lot. Mary and what's his name need to be fired.

We are looking for spacious, private, peaceful campsites next to water, and this campground delivered! Our RV is 26ft long, and we had no problem backing in and leveling/setting up. Site is near the creek, which is wonderful to listen to. No cell service. My biggest complaint would be that the fire pit is too high to be able to satisfactorily watch a fire unless you build a big fire, so bring lots of wood! Looking forward to putting Parksville campground on our list of places to definitely return to and worthy of experiencing again.

This campground never disappoints. The bathrooms are nice and clean and Nancy the campground volunteer hostess is the best.

If Parksville had water hookups in each campsite, I would give it 5 stars. But, for a short stay of 3 or 4 nights, not having water hookups in each site is not much of an issue, if you have a fresh water tank and a pump in your rig! Parksville is beautiful! It's a smaller campground with maybe 20 campsites, and for us, that's a plus! We've camped there twice, and both times found the other campers to be very considerate, friendly, helpful, and quiet! Based on our two experiences, it seems that most folks are at retirement age roughly, so there have been few screaming kids or barking dogs! The kids we've encountered at Parksville have been considerate and well mannered. We have a 32' 5th wheel and its challenging but doable backing into the sites, and all but a couple are back ins. If you're experienced at backing, you can do it! The sites themselves are of a good size. I've seen a couple of larger motorhomes in them. Some sites are a bit close together for our liking, but they're laid out so that you still have some privacy. Others sites are spaced well apart with lots of trees between you. And, if you get one of the sites beside the beautiful creek that runs through Parksville, you'll love sleeping with your windows open as the creek sings you to sleep. And, if you are able to hike about a 4 mile round trip over fairly easy terrain, you MUST see Benton Falls! Oh, and you're maybe a mile from the boat ramp into Parksville Lake, and I did see one site in the campground with a boat parked in it as well as their pull behind and their pickup truck. Overall, Parksville is our favorite place to camp, but you'll have to book your reservation well ahead because it's a favorite of many other nature lovers who have discovered it too!

Very easy to get to with my 31' motor home. Had to be careful in backing into Site 12 but the site was worth it. The babbling creek was delightful.
