I would have rated 5 stars, but I ended up in a TERRIBLY uneven site (#16), that left me trying to level my motorhome for about an hour. I finally gave up, and contacted the Camp Host, who was WONDERFUL. I was then given a different site, and it was excellent (#43). Lovely park, and I wish I had longer to enjoy it, but was only there for one night.

We had campsite 35. It was great. Large, Flat, spacious, lakeside. Quiet campground even though there are a lot of people around. There were a few minor issues. One of the shower houses didnt have hot water. Had to use the other. Also the path down to the lake from our site was very swampy and had standing water. I dont know if it was the rangers or if it was a camper who put wood down on the ground to walk across, but while it was helpful to be able to walk across the wet muddy area, the boards and pallets are unstable. This seems like something the rangers should be addressing and improving properly.

We love the fact that the sites are large and spacious with lots of privacy from the campers next to you.

I didn't stay. I arrived at my site, got out of my van and was immediately attacked by biting flies. stayed about 30 minutes after applying bug spray. also there were loud motor boats on the lake, and a boat moored on the shore by my campsite blasting music. not the forest experience I was hoping for. after half an hour I left. drove 2 hours to the interstate and found a hotel. Sad.

We love this campground, but the rules for generators need adjusting. We had a very loud generator at the site across the street.

The campgrounds themselves were perfect as usual. The only negative we had being on the lake side non-electric campsites were the boaters from different properties anchoring out 10 feet along the shorelines of the campsites. We enjoy being able to swim and relax being secluded and the endless pontoon boats along the shoreline kind of took that away. We also had on more than one occasion random people walking right through our campsite that we had to tell we didn't appreciate.

Campsites, restrooms, and beach area were kept very clean. Dog barking was minimal. One very noisy generator close to my site. I wish they would institute a max decible limit for generators. Otherwize our stay was enjoyable.

Been enjoying Boulder lake campground for many years. The volunteers have done a great job. Except the lady in the back electrical sites. She has been there for several years now and she does what she wants. Her dogs are always off their leash. She was down by the beach early morning and her dog was running all over the beach while she was talking on her phone. She is a wood hoarder. Her campsite looks terrible with rows of fire wood. I like to leave wood for the next camper, but she comes around and steals it after you leave.

The showers at the group campsites were barely warm. I talked to the host, he stated it was working, but reset it anyway. No matter how long we ran them, the temp didn't even reach body temp. Years past we've had much warmer/ hotter showers.

It is buggy so dress appropriately and bring along the bug spray. Boulder Lake is a clear lake wIth very nice beach area. Kayaking the lake is nice. Bathrooms and showers clean and well kept. Campground host in site 41 very helpful and personable. One of the better ones we have encountered on our camping travels. We will return to this campground again.

The campground was clean and fairly quiet. Paved roads, Semi-secluded campsites are nice. Nice clear lake with sand bottom. Nice beach and boat landing. Bathrooms and shower house were clean. The dump station was very handy. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. The downside was that cellular service was pretty much non existent. Our phones were in SOS mode the entire time even with a cell booster on our RV. Not every site was electric hook up. And also all water sites are now reservation required instead of half being first come first serve which is a disappointment. Overall the campground is very nice.

Beautiful campsite! Easy access to the water and launching kayak was no problem. The lake was very clear and we saw lots of fish. The bathrooms were well maintained and shower was always warm. Only complaint was that the fire grill grate was missing most of the bars. Made grilling a little difficult. Generally really happy about the site!

Our Yooper Run hot rod group selected two primitive group sites, oak and ash. They sites were larger than expected for 6 vehicles. No electric but that was a plus when the stars shined above. The shower and restroom building was close by, and had lights and running water. Showers had ample hot water. The camp host greeted us and made us feel welcome. Well book again. The beach was clean as well as the lake.

Boulder Lake is always wonderful. Clean rest rooms and showers. Campsites are kept nice. We make sure we go at least once a year .

Overall, a nice campground. Campsites were huge, which is nice for being able to move around in the site and be able to have multiple options for setting up. We had a large group that included 10 sites. We book next to each other to avoid disturbing other campers. 2 of our sites left a day early, but the sites were still paid for through the next day. This typically happens and that site stays empty. Boulder Lake decided to double dip and rent out one of the sites without a refund to the original payee. We parked a car in the other empty site so they could not do the same with that site and we were confronted, but told the camp host it was not right for them to double book and it was technically still the 1st campers site. We have never had a campground do this. The only other "complaint" would be that the firepits were all very full of ash, so they do not get emptied very often.

We go to this campground alot. The only complaint is that the campground host does not need to keep her dog on a leash------but i have to. Why is that??? Signs clearly say, dogs must be leashed at all times. I asked her. All I got was don't worry, he's 10

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
