We love this campground. It's rustic and beautiful. However, on this trip we had a bad experience with a nearby camper who ran his generator 24/7 the whole week we were there. There hasn't been a campground host all season and there was nobody to enforce the quiet hours. In addition, the place is in need of maintenance. The road leading to the campground is in disrepair, as are the gravel roads within the campground. Many of the fire rings need replacement. There is a bog lake on the property but the boardwalk leading to the lake is in such disrepair that it is dangerous. Cell phone service is spotty at best.

Campground is great. We've been going there for years. You have to like boondocking because there are no electrical hookups or running water and only vault toilets. Some of the campfire rings are badly in need or replacement and the road in the campground hasn't been maintained for a long time, leaving serious potholes.

WE TRIED GETTING THIS SITE BACK IN JAN AND ALREADY WAS BOOKED....FOR JULY 4TH....UGH
VERY NICE AND QUIET AND PEACEFUL..YOU CAN SEE THE LAKE FROM THE CAMPSITE WHICH IS A PLUS......THE LAST 5 MILES OF ROAD ARE TERRIBLE THOUGH, LIKED THIS SITE AND CAMPGROUND BUT HUSBAND NOT TOO HAPPY WITH THE ROAD GOING INTO THE CAMPGROUND, VERY ROUGH
This is our new favorite campground! The campground gets 5 stars. Plenty of privacy between sites. We floated on the lake, paddled around it, hiked the lake trails, enjoyed the loons, biked on the trails and local roads, and simply enjoyed the solitude. Verizon service was poor at best...which made the trip even better!
6 stars to the hosts, Carl and Sharon! Take a fantastic campground, add hosts that care and work hard to keep things top notch and you have the winning combo! We'll be back.
Allowing generators to run until 10 PM is annoying. Most campers are considerate enough to shut them down early in the day but there are those few that can really upset the ambiance of such a quiet place. Carl and Sharon are excellent hosts. They are friendly and do a great job keeping the toilets very clean. They seem to have also taken on some of the tasks that the Forest Service used to do, such as keeping track of reservations. A big thanks to them.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
