The easy access to the lake is great watch the sun set and then catch the glistening in the morning--nice forest surroundings providing much privacy--the campground host was most helpful and friendly!! We have camped many times here and will again----

Our trip to Day Lake Campground was peaceful, relaxing and simply perfect, exactly what we needed. Upon arrival, the campsites were clearly marked as reserved with the date range of each reservation. There is a campground host available in one of the campsite circles, who manages the campground. Our campsite was in the 18-27 circle and offered privacy, a large campsite and easy access to the well and vault toilets, which were kept very clean. Bring a bug tent if you have one, which would be needed in any mid-west summer camping experience. A hiking adventure at Morgan Falls and Saint Peter's Dome was a 35 minute drive on country roads. Would highly recommend! There is a $5.00 fee paid in cash at a box to hike the trails. We hiked in the morning and had the view of the vista to ourselves at the top of the Saint Peter's Dome trail. Stunning scenery. Have directions saved in the maps on your cell phone as needed. With AT&T, there was oftentimes no service while driving in the area. However, we made it around just fine. The Clam Lake Junction is a 3 minute drive from the campground and has a gas station and convenience store with firewood and bags of ice for purchase. Day Lake Campground gave us the peace and quiet we were looking for and made for an amazing weekend.
