Had a great time. Beach is excellent. Campground host is friendly and works very hard. We have been camping here for 40 years, and are not happy about updating many sites to electric sites. There are many campers with large rigs that do not follow the generator time rules. Electric sites will add that many more big rigs to the mix. Wish it would stay as it was.

Great beach and hiking

Not that it is the fault of the campground but I got swimmers itch after swimming in the lake. My body covered in extremely itchy welts, lasting for a week or more. I would highly suggest that you towel dry right after swimming or shower if possible. This was an extremely hot week for June into the 90's. I have been camping at Frankling Lake since I was 5 years old and am currently 71, I have never in the past had swimmers itch at this lake, so just be aware!

I love paddling on the lake in the morning seeing the loons. I have had loons taxi off the lake right beside my kayak.

Franklin Lake has always been a great place to go. We have been going there for 34 years.
