The weather was perfect. There was a wonderful turnout for the event. The only drawback was that the restrooms were closed due to a water problem. There were two porta johns available, but they were in the parking lot which was some distance from the large pavilion where our event was.

We had a LWS reunion for all campers, people who loved the lake as much as us. Total success, staff were so welcoming and helpful. Went way beyond the call of duty. Lake Winfield Scott was just as beautiful as ever! Thank you.

We rented the pavilion by the beach. Reserved it for 12-10pm. Spent $100 on it for my daughters birthday. People kept coming in and using the pavilion as they pleased. We couldnt enjoy her party because it kept getting crashed by other people. They need to figure out some other kind of system so this does not happen to somebody else. We finally left after 3 hours because we couldnt enjoy it. Its not fair when somebody pays all that money and other people can just come up and use it whenever. When we left out and told the people at the gate all they said was thats yours you reserved that did you tell them to leave. They didnt apologize or anything.

First, I would like to commend the staff at Lake Winfield Scott for not charging us an entrance fee since we were doing a memorial service for our father. That was very gracious of them! We rented Pavilion 02, which accommodates 100, for the October 2020 service because even though there were only 40 of us, we felt that we could social distance easily in that space. It was a rainy day so it was great to be able to build a fire in the beautiful stone fireplace and the position of the benches was perfect for the service. There were enough picnic tables to set out a buffet and everyone had ample space to sit down to eat. The Pavilion also has electric outlets so we were able to set up a sound system with a microphone, used for both speakers and singers. There is a pathway around the lake to the fishing platform and it was easy to walk with level ground. There are a few steps up near the pavilion to access the rest rooms; however, the parking lot for the pavilion is up a flight of stone steps. We were very grateful that there was a park person with a golf cart available to drive anyone unable to make the stairs down to the pavilion. Everyone had a fabulous afternoon and we would not hesitate to return to Lake Winfield Scott in the future!

The pavilion and the restrooms were very clean and in good order. Many thanks to the managers, Dan and Ruth Ann Brightwell, for their support. Their preparation and participation helped to make for a wonderful day!
