Rangers were very knowledgable, water campground had actual bathrooms- what a treat on such a remote island! Even while sticking with the front country, it was rare to see other people, which was perfect. Beautiful island.

Great campground! The wind block structures were great, and the campground had flush toilets! Amazing to see the rare torrey pines growing in the grove.

Was a very nice trip, great weather, did lots of hiking, had some luck fishing, even saw whales during the cruise back. Here are three improvements I would like to suggest 1) When the group of day travelers go to the island, the bathroom capacity is too small for the crowds, and the wait gets to be very long. 2) I would like to see if more picnic tables might be placed in various locations around the island to give hikers a nice place to rest 3) In the campground, I wonder if perhaps a shower could be set up. This should not have a direct water tap there, but instead it might just have a washing enclosure and a drain so that campers could bring their own bucket of water from an outside tap and wash themselves, so that water would not be wasted. Thank you.

The boat ride, tent site and hiking were relaxing and scenic. Grounds were in good condition and bathrooms clean. Great adventure.

Santa Rosa is SO beautiful! It is quiet, peaceful and uncrowded. Walk to Lobo Canyon, East Point, Carrington Point or Skunk Point. They are all beautiful. The beach is gorgeous, with white sand and no people. The wind does get quite strong. The rangers are kind and helpful. The restrooms are clean and a real luxury with flush toilets. Island Packers is so accommodating, always pointing out interesting things and even pulling the boat into Painted Cave.

Facilities were clean, well-maintained, clearly signed, and exactly as described online. Trails were clearly marked and well-maintained, and park staff/volunteers were friendly and helpful. NPS provides a wealth of printed material at the Visitor Center and on the island which complemented a trail map nicely!

Santa Rosa is beautiful! Thus hiking there is amazing. The Lobo Canyon trail was a highlight for me. But it's also extremely windy, at least in March. The first night, we barely slept and we had to exit the tent a few times to reinstall the pegs. The following nights, we knew what would happen, so we made sure that the pegs were firmly put in the ground.

Simply one of the best trips Ive ever taken in my life. The island is stunning with its barren, untouched coasts and the rangers on the park are so helpful and friendly unlike on Catalina Island. Its low impact camping and I experienced nights on stretches of beach alone enjoying the moonlight. The facilities are well maintained and managed. I recommend at least five days to see the whole island, otherwise you can see an orient of it in three days. Ford Point is stunning and a 2-3 hour hike from main camp. The trails are safe and easy to follow. An amazing adventure!

SUPPER CLEAN restrooms as far as national parks go, and fresh drinkable running water. Only complaint is the actual location of the camp ground, supper windy at night and warmer than most other areas we hiked to. Otherwise AMAZING.

Santa Rosa is an amazing place to visit! There are beautiful beaches and a variety of hiking trails around the island that vary from flat grassland to more strenuous hikes up the mountains. The views are incredible, of neighboring San Miguel and Santa Cruz islands. There are all kinds of beautiful wildflowers in the spring and summer too. The Channel Islands were never part of the mainland, and due to their isolation they have plants and animals that are found nowhere else in the world. Each campsite has a wood windbreak that includes an animal box to store all food, and a picnic table. You can put your tent or picnic table in the windbreak. There are no campfires allowed, so there's no firepit. There are nails in the windbreak to hang things from, and some people brought a hammock and string of lights and hung those up. There's good drinking water, and the bathrooms are nice and cleaned daily. Drinking water is limited to the campsite and near the dock, so you'll need to fill up before you go out on any hikes.

The rangers were very nice and informative during our stay. The campground was absolutely beautiful and well kept. Not to mention, the bathrooms were the cleanest bathrooms at a campsite I have ever seen!
