Campground excellent at Scorpion and Del Norte (#4 site sits under a majestic oak). The hike was difficult due to carrying extra load of water. I dont recommend attempting to fish. Access to water is very difficult or impossible except where it is illegal due to sanctuary status. Island Scrub-Jay is everywhere. Northern Saw-whet Owl calls all night long in Eucalyptus grove covering lower Scorpion campground. Smugglers Bay is splendid.

Fantastic national park, super unique. If a santa-ana event is in the forecast, the lower campground is in a valley well protected from high winds (upper is a little more open and exposed). Camp sites don't have too much privacy from each other, but in 3 nights in January, there were only 1-3 other campsites in use on a given night and we were all spread out. The campground is in a eucalyptus grove which smells nice. Though the bathrooms are pit toilets, the staff keeps them clean. The only fresh water is from spigots (for drinking/cooking, and it was good tasting water), there are no bathroom sinks. So as long as you understand what to expect and plan accordingly, this was a top notch camping experience in a really cool national park. Also pro-tip, there is a permanent ban on open fires, but stove cooking is normally allowed. But if there is also a temporary ban on stove cooking due to high winds, freeze-dried meals (such as Mountain House or Peak Refuel) can be rehydrated and eaten cold. For dinner, add cold water in the morning and store it in the fox box all day. It doesn't taste as good cold, but it is plenty safe to eat as all ingredients are pre-cooked.

We had a wonderful one night trip to Santa Cruz. The campground was very nice. I would recommend looking into renting equipment from the company on shore that does both kayaking and snorkeling. If we go back, we will definitely plan on doing a kayak trip.

Campground was terrific - clean, shaded, grassy. I almost don't want to review it, so it will be available next time I want to go. Potable water tasted good and bathrooms were clean.

We had an ok stay in the Channel Islands, but wish park staff was more proactive in cleaning pit toilets and maintaining campground trails which were muddy and difficult to traverse.

Really fun place to stay -- nicely spaced but you still feel like you're in a little community!

Pit toilets. There’s potable drinking water, unlike some of the other islands. Lovely island, but can get very cold at night, so bring lots of layers and a warm sleeping bag.

Camp site is well protected against wind. Restrooms are kept clean. Great base for hiking trips, snorkling and kayaking.

The campsites were clean with easy access to water. The ground is covered with shredded wood so there is no dust. Lots of trees for shade. Couldn't be better.

It was awesome, very family friendly.

Campers brought so much gear with them, making multiple trips to the dock back and forth to get their gear, that it felt like car camping without the cars. Not the experience we were looking for.
