We love this park. Camping was nice, great weather, high 80s, more flies than usual, but overall great time. Remember to book ahead for camping!

Amazing experience! I came prepared for backpacking type accommodations and was surprised how close and easy to access the campsite was. Folks brought coolers, wagons, etc. from the ferry and you could definitely treat this more as a glamping experience. Easy access to water and pit toilets, trail heads, and a short walk to the visitor center and pier. Highly recommend doing Potato Harbor hike near sunset and taking one of the guided kayak tours if you have time!

Beautiful spot great to visit. Lots of natural beauty. We had a lovely shaded camp site. Nice hikes. Ranger that greeted us off the boat was not very friendly and seemed irritated by her job. Wish we could have rented kayaks out there from the kayak place but only guided tours allowed.

One of my all-time favorite campsites! It's warm and protected from the winds because of its location in the valley. Plus, it's close to the start of Smuggler's Cove and Potato Harbor, two must-do hikes! Potato Harbor is PERFECT at sunset!

The campground was great. The island foxes are adorable. Make sure to bring carabiners for your tent to clip zippers together. The foxes and raven can and will unzip the tents and backpacks and go through them! There are pit toilets and potable water, making it as close as you can get to car camping on an island. If volunteer Doug is working he's a treat! Sing-a-longs, documentary screenings and star gazing are all worth doing.

We stayed in group site letter E at the upper loop. This site is about 3/4 mile from the doc. We backpacked in so it wasn’t bad. If you have a lot of stuff with you it can be a slight trek to your site in the upper loop. There are bathrooms in the upper loop along with a water slicker with potable water. Our site had a couple trees which gave us some shade during the day time which was a plus. Overall, we had a great experience at Santa Cruz Scorpion. Remember to keep your food in lockers and tents closed. Those island foxes and ravens are sneaky.

Fantastic location!
Arrival: Warm welcome from the rangers, ~15 minute walk to campsite
Site: Toilets were clean, view of hills was lovely
Animals: Island foxes wandered around the campsite, so be sure to lock up your food and any smell-ables in the bear boxes (which were relatively clean)
Other: Bring own fuel as no fires allowed
Overall very clean, pleasant campsite- no complaints :)

Beatiful Island! Clean spacious campsites. Watch out for those cute little foxes, they'll try to get your food any chance they get!

Santa Cruz Island is magical and once the last boat leaves for the day it feels like you have the place to yourself. Campground was in great shape. Potable water, clean pit toilets nearby. Don’t leave your shoes next to your tent...the foxes will pee on them! NPS staff are friendly and helpful...and obviously love the place, too.
