We loved the foxes roaming around the island and the plentiful day hikes.

We stayed in the upper camping area and it was like a little magical oasis. Was easy access to hop onto the potato trail. There was a great tree on our site to hang hammocks, water and bathroom were really close. Loved the experience.

Our reservation was canceled due to closure. Not sure why I got a request to rate my experience!

We stayed in the upper lot and was only 25% occupied. We had the most amazing view and was quiet. So enjoyable, bathrooms clean. Only complaint (which is kinda lame cause talking about nature) was that couldn’t stake in tents due to dry hard dirt... luckily not windy so tents stayed in place with some weight inside. Would recommend!

It is a wonderful campsite, great hikes, scenic views! Our group of 16 at the group campsite had a great time.

This was one of my most magical nights of camping in my lifetime! Due to hazardous trees at the lower loop and reduced capacity during COVID-19, we had the upper group campgrounds and whole island almost entirely to ourselves overnight. The ranger (Mira?) was so helpful and friendly our whole time on the island as well as the entire Island Packer crew and volunteer docents. Since it's so hectic to book the campground/ferry and get the logistics right, we kept thinking something was going to go wrong but it was too good to be true! Santa Cruz is a gem, hopefully you get to enjoy those endemic morning glories as much as we did.
