absolutely amazing place. dont miss the hike out to the supernova pictograph. camp sites wonderfully maintained, water for our little travel trailer was available at the dump station and we were lucky the road which can be bad was just graded and great. visitor center was really great, rangers knowledgeable and nice, and bathrooms really nice with flush toilets.

Simple, straightforward campground. No cellular service, but that might be considered a bonus by some! Great star gazing, ample bird life. Limited nearby trails allow some hiking without driving. Studying the various ruins brings a sense of wonder, to say the least.

The overall experience was just couldn't be better, but I want everybody to know that there are facilities. There are drinking water and toilets. Woohoo. Just like downtown

Excellent backcountry campground away from city lights. Beautiful natural surroundings with great well marked hiking trails. Sunrises and sunsets were spectacular.

The best camp host I've ever worked with. Camp was clean, well marked and organized. I could have done without the dust devil tearing through my campsite but that's certainty not the campgrounds fault. Thank you, it was a hoot being there.

Camping is the way to go to see the park. Bathrooms are clean and lit at night. We brought mountain bikes to see the park as we had a roof top tent. There are some trails that you can bike on in addition to the loop. We also worked in a hike to the Valley of Dreams on the way in which is 45 minutes from the campground. There's a back route on Google Maps from that to the campground that works if you have a high clearance 4WD. Our Jeep handled it easily.

Amazing place. Cleanest campground I've ever visited.

Great area for exploring where the Ancients lived. Quite a mix of structures, rock art and natural features. It is hot during the summer and the campground provides no shade. Managed for the night even though neighbors kept us up late telling their live stories to each other. The loudest campers in the whole campground. They don't realize that most campers are there for the solitude and the peaceful natural surroundings.

Chaco is extraordinary and well worth visiting. Most camp sites were best suited for vans or trailers, rather than tents since they are in the open and offer no shelter from high winds and blowing dust. Several more sheltered sites in a small canyon were closed.
