One of the most amazing places I've camped. The campground itself was very clean and quiet. The sites were close, but not on top of each other. The night sky was probably the most amazing part of the experience. It was well worth the trip out to the park. We only had one day/night in the park, and I feel like 2 days/nights would have been much better in order to see everything. We'll definitely try to visit again!

All around great campground but I gotta say the coolest part was that my campsite was right next to some ruins. So cool!

Great sites and quiet. Potable water and power in the bathrooms a nice bonus. Womens restroom lacking TP in a stall and no soap for two days.

Its been 35 years since I was there last, nice new bathrooms with 3 flush toilets in the womens room, very clean , sink and potable water, dump station. Met a lot of nice people and the host was very informative. The visitors center was well stocked with books (2 of which i had brought from home) and a few more to buy. The last 8miles of washboard took us 1 hour and 20 minutes hauling our trailer slowly (our neighbor said they had a brand new big trailer and their shower door fell off, guess they drove too fast). Be prepared for a dust storm or two with face and ear protection (I am still getting sand out of my ears). It is such a lovely place, and was very quiet towards evening, closes at 9pm with gates, with only 4 people at the ruins. There are no trees in the campground so shade of some kind is needed, but it was windy, need anchors. I noticed on the tent bases there were hooks to tie your tent down, do it.

Incredible spot to stay amongst ruins and close to the Chaco Canyon attractions. Spots are somewhat close and little to no shade. The road coming into the park was atrocious but well worth every bump. Chaco Canyon is so incredible, go now!

How wonderful to be able to camp within site of the Anasazi ruinsnot 50 yards from our tent! We were pleased by the regular but unobtrusive patrols of the camp by the park rangers. The campsites were ample, the fire pits welcome, and the picnic tables a luxury that these two older backpackers were not accustomed to! The flush toilet was also nice. Our one complaint is that noisy generators should be banned. The solemnity and quiet of the place was ruined by that noise, which came on intermittently all night long. The park is magnificent and the campground provides excellent access to a national treasure.

Beautiful site in Chaco Canyon, complete with a small cliff dwelling in the campground. Come prepared to be completely independent -- no food or hookups available.

No one I know has been injured from rockfall, but the park has closed the best sites and still has not provided any shade. The hosts are great, but I suspect the management of the park has never camped there even for one night. Please provide shade structures!

It was a little frustrating to bring a bunch of water because of a warning in the campsite info and then have potable water available. We were flying home the next day and had nowhere to put our extra water.

Plan to spend time in this timeless, beautiful and scared place. The stark landscapes and historical significance will overwhelm your senses and boggle your mind. An absolute must!!
