Rangers here are the best...thanks!! Friendly and informative. Chaco is amazing. Everyone should go in August, so that the rest of us can have it to ourselves in the winter!

As usual Chaco never disappoints. The ruins are terrific. Buy the guides to the ruins. It will make your walks through the ruins much more meaningful and enjoyable.

Campground is very clean, quiet, and conveniently located to visitors center and all the Pueblo ruins along the loop road. Great location to view the night sky! I've never seen the Milky Way so clear and bright. Amazing experience!

Nice campground. Would recommend bringing a shade tent to provide some relief from the sun. Also there is no ice or cold drinks available so plan ahead.

A friendly campground and clean restrooms. And best of all... tie down brackets for tents which made everything work. The hike up to Pueblo Alto is beautiful and varied terrain. Amazing views on top.

Good to camp out near the historical sites we wanted to visit. But, although there was a restriction on generators, there was no restriction on noise emanating from fancy RVs that ran heaters on and off during the night. That noise destroyed the otherwise silence of the remote place. We were also accosted by the smoke from campfires nearby. Some people seemingly are unable to enjoy the out-of-doors without a campfire polluting the otherwise clean air.The restrooms were clean, and the campground otherwise well-managed.

RVs and tents go together like oil and water. There should be separation between these two types of campers. It appears this once was a practice until the tent area had to be closed for rock falls. It should still be implemented so folks in tents aren't surrounded by behemoths.

The Gallo Campground is beautifully situated at the base of cliffs near Chaco Canyon including some ruins of "apartment houses" from the Chaco Canyon era. Sites were fine, although too close to avoid hearing neighbors in the evening. Restrooms were well situated and had drinking water and facilities for washing dishes. The human element, however, left something to be desired. Some campers were deliberately noisy, yelling and playing music until 10:00. Sad in such a majestic place. I hope the park will initiate and enforce quiet hours. Also, the road in was washed out from recent thunderstorms - passable, but interesting. Someone had spread gravel in places to help the situation.

Chaco Canyon is amazing. The view of the night sky and the well preserved ruins should not be missed. Gallo offers terrific campsites. Nice and clean. Excellent toilet facilities. Other reviewers are spot on the road in gets crazy for about 4 miles. Make sure and take it slow, like 5mph slow, and you will be fine.

The new restroom building was nice with flush toilets and running water. There was a handy utility room to refill water jugs. The campground host was pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed a site next to the ruins. The stars at night are spectacular. Walking through the park after a light snow was magical. The entire experience was very positive.

Gallo Campground was very nice. Modern and clean restrooms, spacious campsites, and a wonderful campground host. The gravel road getting there is a little rough, but as long as you drive careful, you should have no problems. There is no shade at this campground. So be prepared.Chaco Culture National Historical Park is an awesome place to visit! Be sure to check out their dark sky / star programs.
