The portable outhouses were full. They need service much more often than theyre getting. They are a sanitation hazard. The obvious solution is to restore water to the rest rooms. Guess the administrators have different priorities.

This was our first experience camping in Chaco. The campground and staff were great. Enjoyed the hiking trails and the campground atmosphere.

I enjoyed my stay in the campground. This is an amazing place! I enjoyed the Astrofest. Both speakers were excellent and the Albuquerque astronomy group sharing their telescopes made the week.

Good facilities, washroom & camping sites. Need regulation/enforcement of bright lights in campground in the evening. If Chaco is rated as a dark sky location then it needs to be dark in the campsite as we were not allowed to leave the campsite after 9pm. Or there should be somewhere we can actual go to at night to observe the skies without campground interference. Was disappointed to not be able to do astrophotography, especially after suffering the terrible roads into Chaco.

I camp at Gallo several times every year. I always have a good experience, the restrooms are clean, the sites are well kept, the Rangers at the Visitors center are great resources and well informed. I appreciate that Chaco Canyon is a space I can visit, it is a beautiful sacred space that it very meaningful to me. Thank you for caring for this space and providing the opportunity for me to visit and and learn something new each time I attend. There have been Ranger led talks in the fire circle this summer, my son and I enjoy the conversation and connection.

A group of campers were yelling, flying a drone, and flashing lights until 3 AM, and there was no camp host to deal with the problem.

The campground was very clean. I was surprised that there was actually running water. I was expecting a vault toilet. The only bad thing was how noisy some of the other campers were. It's like they had no recognition that other people were also trying to enjoy the peaceful canyon.

The campground was excellent! So very clean, well managed, roomy, with the nicest, helpful campground hosts. We really appreciated the heated bathrooms with flush toilets and the utility sink for disposing our gray water. Again, everything was immaculate.

There was no host or Park Employee at the campground on two of the three nights I stayed. That meant no one to see that quiet hours were kept. People ran generators and had music playing after 10Pm and long before 6AM. Bring earplugs if you want to get a night's sleep.

Unfortunately I was there the day of the eclipse and we were literally held up at the gate until people left the Parkwhich they didnt do! The park staff was wonderful with all the frustrated visitors and I circled the canyon trying to get a spot at the sitesOn tve other hand the park had special events with a lecture and time to look through tve parks telescope in the observatory as well as though guest astronomers telescopes. Great evening!Since I was able to get a camp spot at Gallo campground the next day was mellow and I saw all I wanted plus got in a great hike! The campground host was wonderful through all the chaos of the eclipse and the campground itself! But of Course! Hes an Alaskan!5 star experience ( questionnaire wont light up the stars for me!)

Campsite 28 was the low point in the campground. Due to rain we had to deal with standing water during our stay. Take this site out and save the next campers from this ordeal.

Campgrounds are situated between amazing rock formations. The ruins are significant and well preserved and/or recreated. Restrooms are close to campgrounds. Campgrounds are clean and well maintained.

The entire experience was magical! Camp next to petroglyphs and Pueblo ruins, listen to the coyotes howling and elk bugling. The stars are so bright. Bathrooms were clean and the neighbors and host were friendly and wonderful. Cant wait to camp there again!!

Chaco Canyon is amazing. The campground is good with clean restrooms and water. The park is not overdeveloped which we appreciated. The ruins are fascinating snd the land feels Holy. In mid October we experienced every kind of weather except extreme heat. I look forward to visiting again.

Gorgeous, spacious, nice bathrooms, state of the art water dispenser, and by great luck a group of guys with HUGE telescopes. I am glad the road makes it hard for people to come in. We were in heaven.
