I missed the first night due to rain and impassible roads (thank you to the rangers for the road warning) but arrived early on day 2 and set up camp quickly to enjoy the full day at the park. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The rest rooms were clean and accessible. We had a bit of rain and my tent pad drained well. The campground was full and quiet. The campsites are close to the visitor's center and the loop road but far enough away to feel like you had your own piece of the petroglyphs and rock formations.

Remote area with some unpaved road leading to the park. The park was amazing. The campground is right in the canyon, close to some cliff dwellings. Very picturesque location to spend the night. Restrooms conveniently close from any site. Amazing starry nights without light pollution. Camp hosts nearby to help if needed. No cell signal but the visitor center has wifi.

Staying at Gallo Camground is one of the best ways to fully experience the beauty, archeology, and trails in Chaco Canyon! This was my third time staying and I will certainly be back. The hosts and rangers are very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are kept very clean. The night sky is incredible!

Easy to Reserve. Clean simple site good for med/large tent. Next time I am hoping to get a site closer to canyon wall. Will for sure reserve again.

Stunning views of Fajada Butte from the campground. Late Oct was a nice time to be there - very low season, The Great Houses were spectacular and so was the hike to Pueblo Alto. The big rock slide in the campground had closed off a number of campsites. And also one of the restrooms was closed off. But because there were fewer campsites, the one open restroom was never crowded. It's a great campground. I've camped there at least 4-5 times throughout the year. Nice to know some things never change.

The Camp Ground has a tent pad for easy set-up. Potable water and flushing toilets are great. The only problem was a group of elementary school students camped in the Group Site and had no respect for other campers, running all over the campground and loudly screaming the entire time. At least they were quiet after 10 pm. Camp hosts told us to use the farthest toilet, reserving the closest one for the children. The leaders of this group were not teaching respect for the environment or fellow humans. On our final day, the toilets and water access were locked, perhaps due to the kids clogging pipes?

Words can't really describe this area. You have to see the ruins, the night sky, the vastness of the land with your own eyes. Remarkable.

It was one the best adventure I've ever experienced. The camp sites are nice and clean with real toilets instead of normal camping restrooms. This place is something I believe every person should experience at least once in there life's. Thank you for such a spectacular experience... Definitely will be back Chaco Canyon until next time

Gallo campground has the necessities covered: tent pit, dining table and convenient toilet and sink. It was very comfortable and worked well. Chaco Culture Center is amazing and a must see.

The park was great, the campground was nice and well maintained. The visitor center was great with a helpful staff.
The road was terrible! Our camper was damaged despite driving as slow as possible. I would not recommend taking a camper there.
Thank you

We were tent camping. There is an 8pm quiet time but many of the RV’s generators ran off and on ( mostly on) all night. The closure of the tent circle at this campground without any other accommodation for tent campers is a major negative for Gallo campground.

The road going in is not good for trailers. Too rutted and bumpy. The setting is lovely, but the sites are too close. There is no signal for cell phone or WiFi.
