Doug does an excellent job ma aging the property and is super helpful, knowledgeable, and keeps the rifraf down which is much appreciated considering the proximity of open camping. We visit regularly bit this was the first camp out. It was fabulous.

Continental Divide Trail goes through here, very beautiful flowers last week of July 2021. Camp host is a jewel, and works really hard to keep up the facilities. We are used to high altitude so 10,000 ft at Hopewell was ok, be prepared if you are from sea level. Lake is beautiful, but not for swimming. Very good place for horse people. Several first come sites which are really nice and not jammed together. Many tent/car or truck campers were around. There are grouse running around. We had a reservation, recommend this. Very little water available due to pump failure, and long wait for US Gov to approve fix. Bring water for drinking. Very off grid here, and really quiet, most of time there. All I could hear were my ears ringing! We walked 30 miles in 4 days. Love this place, second time there.
