Sites 1-3 are right next to the busy road, you could throw a rock and hit cars. Sites 4-8 are at the top of a long flight of stairs and are all next to each other. We had #8 for a couple nights and there was a neighboring tent set up right over the path to our camp. Luckily, the other folks were quiet at night and didn't party. Water/bathroom is back down the stairs in the parking lot...would consider this campsite "dry". Be prepared to carry water across a parking lot and up a couple flights of stairs. It's a "walk-in" camp location, but quite overpriced for the inconvenience of lugging all your stuff up a hill to camp right next to strangers. Site 9 is probably the best as it sits further back and isn't surrounded by other campers, but it is the furthest to walk to. Lake access across the road is limited to small, rocky alcoves. Seems like you could camp in your vehicle on the nearby access road, but I guess this camp is "ok" if you can't find any other local options. Good things about the campground? The camp host (this year) was nice, the bathrooms were clean, and there was a dumpster.

Nice location, VERY close to the lake, though this also means very close to the road. We were in space 8 which meant hauling all our gear up the stairs and back a ways. It was kind of sloped and with the road noise, not the best sleep. Super friendly host and great location for exploring Lake Tahoe. We did see a momma bear and cub trying to get in our car at the parking lot. Take bear precautions seriously.

I stayed at Site 8 for two nights. It was a great experience. It was a small walk to my site from the parking lot but it was up a set of stairs and straight uphill. The bathrooms were immaculately clean! It was a great getaway stay at Tahoe!

Love it

I never checked in due to poor air quality during that time from local fires.
I am a big fan of Camp Kaspian and will stay there again in the future.

Campsite is on top of a hill and you have to climb up stairs to reach it. Once there most of the campsite areas are inclined (not flat horizontal) and it makes it so difficult to sleep at night.
Having only one sink for the whole campsite is not really a good idea (two bathrooms with a single sink).

Was here for opening weekend in May. Had a great time, but next time will check whether there is running water at the camp yet. The facilities were still winterized and no running water yet, but there was a working spigot across the highway along the trail and it was easy to purchase some extra water from the store. If you want more space from neighbors, site #9 is the best. Eagle Rock trail is within walking distance and doable with kids.

Perfect campground right across from the lake (highway between). Quiet even though it was completely full.

The host was very kind. The bathrooms were clean and access to the lake was amazing. I liked our spot on the hill away from the traffic, but it was a haul without direct car access. I will stay there again for sure!

Great location, across the street from the lake. Easy to get to town for a last minute grocery store stop but out of town a bit, near the lake and surrounded by trails. The campground has access to a pier over the water and it was great for laying in the sun and swimming. There are also several trails nearby for a hike or mountain bike ride along the lake or river.

A couple things to take note of:
1. There is a central parking lot(you can't drive right up to your site). There is a big flight of stairs between the parking lot and campsites 4-9 so you'll be hauling all of your equipment, food and other items up and down the stairs. Not the end of the world, but something worth noting when you choose your site location.
2. There are no fires permitted for the 2020 camping season(here or any other nearby site). This was not communicated to us prior to our trip and we had packed foods that needed to be grilled. Plan accordingly and you should be fine.
3. FYI, there is some traffic noise from the road.

A nice weekend and we would plan another trip here in the future.
