Lovely campground great view of the city, everything was lush and green. Toilet (portapotty) was surpisingly clean.

Incredible views, quiet and peaceful.

Great campground with clean amenities and beautiful views of the Golden Gate Bridge with sketchy access to a beach further down the cliffs if you feel spicy. Be aware the areas to set up tents are packed soil, it is impossible to stake anything into the ground; annoying when it is windy (which it usually is in the Headlands). Also, the porta potty servicing and picnic/campground cleanup people came at 7:30 am for some reason.

Its a beautiful camping spot and I wish we could have stayed longer. The only downside is the ticks and the walk down to the site. Other than that its amazing.

It's a great spot. Sheltered from the wind. A lot of wild nature.

The form in not allowing a star rating to be selected (iphone using safari). It was overall good but the bathroom (pot-a-potty) had not been cleaned since november. It was extreemly dirty and smelly and had no toilet paper too.

This is a truly magical place, and all those who come here seem to feel this way. It is quiet, clean, private, and above all, out-of-the-way while being close to San Francisco. It is a special place for those who want a safe place to spend a night in close contact with what the earth has to offer.

Should be cheaper for the lack of amenities, sites, and accessibility. Cozy little spot if you don't mind lugging your stuff back up a hill.

This tiny gem of only three campsites above the mouth of the Golden Gate Bridge is a must visit if you can get a spot. Beware, for some reason the toilet service feels fit to pump out the one porta potty at 5:30am Friday!! Sure would be nice if someone at the park headquarters would tell them that is really inappropriate!!

Super good view at all sites but mostly site 3, I think it should be a little clearer that its a walk in site. Not far, but still important.

My first time camping here. The instructions for reaching the site were good. The scenery is amazing. The campsite was clean. Prepare by bringing more than enough water since none is provided on site.

Cramped for my taste, like most national or state parks in CA, which mostly appear to double as cheap motel rooms. Only three sites here though, so hard to get too trailer-parky. Price wasnt absurd - unlike most CA parks.Gorgeous vantage point just beyond the trees. Sea-breezy. All the historic military facilities on the headland are great sites to see and consider. People also seem to enjoy loud talking whilst maniacally bicycling there, so bring your bike, you maniac.

Great location with a tent pad. Site 3 has the best 'view' of the bridge although it is a little hidden. The hill down to the campsites is pretty steep. The 3-person-per-site rule seems odd and we saw a few campsites breaking that. Lots of cool wildlife including your standard deer, coyotes, and owls. The walk to Pt Bonita Lighthouse is great and the cell phone audio tour was informative.

Weather was the biggest challenge. Even though the campsites face southeast, all spots were super windy. The repeated, strong gusts really challenged the sturdiness of your tent. Site 3 does have nice trail access and is a few feet from its own private view of the Golden Gate. The walk from the parking spots isn't too bad, either. However, there was noticeable amounts of broken glass at the road entrance and by my tent pad. Plus, the abandoned bivvy set up in the adjacent camping spot creeped me out as a solo camper.I ultimately tapped out and packed up to head home after dinner. I think it was the best call since less than a half mile on the drive out some visitor in a pickup was trying to lure/feed a coyote on the side of the road! I'd probably be back to picnic, but skip the camping.

One of the most beautiful campgrounds weve ever been to. The view of the Golden Gate Bridge can be seen from site #3 only. There are also hiking trails nearby that lead you to a different view spot.

Quiet and secluded. There was an owl hoo-ing next to my tent in the AM

I was excited for this trip and made the reservation the day it became available, but upon arriving to the campsite, realized it would be catastrophic to spend the night as my feet lifted off the ground when I got out of the car. The wind speeds and chill here are incredibly tremendous especially if you are light; reading the weather forecast did not prepare me at all! With no fire pits, no running water, and a long path that requires you to hike your gear in, it brought great tears to my eyes to realize that I would have to drive back home. A scenic campsite for the experienced perhaps, but would not recommend it for others. If the staff is reading this, I would so greatly appreciate if you would be able to review my refund request I submitted 2 weeks ago! Thank you and take care.

This tiny campground is a real gem. While access is very easy by car, it's on a set of secluded roads and there is no traffic. It's green and quiet, and the view to the east of the Golden Gate Bridge and to the west of sunset over the ocean is breathtaking. When I want safe green solitude, which is often, this is where I go. I am never disappointed.

I thought this was a great experience and an amazing campground. there are only 3 sites and they are somewhat near eachother but I was the only one who booked a site that night. its a really cool spot, the walk down isnt bad at all, you can see the campground from the top, just pack so you only have to take a trip or two. You can see the city of san fransicso and the golden gate bridge from the campground and its a beautiful thing to see. there are plenty of walks around the campground whether you want to see the lighthouse closer, get down to a beach that you can have all to yourself, or to check out the fort barry area to see interesting history from the army in early 1900s. overall beautiful place to get away for even just one night, can get a little windy and its about a 20 min drive into sausalito if you need more food or supplies. i enjoyed this campground because its good for relaxation or if youre up for an adventure.

We really enjoyed camping under the cypress trees. If you walk up the hill towards the street there is an incredible view of the Golden Gate Bridge and the SF skyline.
