Tons of space, nice views and nice amenities

We went in July and during the Oak Fire. This is partly why the weather was not good. The campground is really clean with outlets and many drinking water fountains. The campsite has its own vault toilets, although, shared flush toilets are available at a little distance from the campsite. The tent areas were very hilly and very dispersed. It's ideal for a very large group of people; we were 48 people. The shaded area was nice during the heat. We also loved having the grill and the fire ring. The campground was very close to the lake. We were able to drive to the lake and swim there. The USACE provides life jackets that you can pick up and then return so that was nice. The lake water was muddy closer to the shore and the bottom of the lake was a lot of clay. Once you get a bit far, the water is cleaner. We all swam in the lake and did not get sick.

I normally don't post for places I like because I don't want a million people coming and ruining my vacation but feel the need to give a review because me and my family love Eastman lake and this Campground. The park rangers are always helpful and informational and ever since I started going there in the mid 90's it just seams like all the fishermen respect the sport and each other, has a good (dysfunctional, lol) family vibe!!
