The campsite was perfect: (handicapped accessible, site #23) - Painted "welcome rock" was on the picnic table - Bathroom with flush toilets only 100 ft away. - Water and electrical hookups. - Fully shaded canopy over the picnic table. - Concrete walkways around the entire camping area. - Huge campsite, with incredible views.

This site 23 was so great and had a cold view of the lake we had to come back. This time we stayed for 3 days. Everything was clean and the bathrooms were clean too. This campsite is only about a 30 minute drive to town where you'll find food places and a Walmart. Everything you need is not to far and they have a free dump station. And if you drive a little down the road you can take out the boats and do a little fishing. Highly recommend people to visit here and enjoy.

My husband and I went to this campground and stayed at site 23 from September 9th to the 23rd. It was a great and amazing site. Just from where you park you will be able to see the lake right from there. You are not going to be disappointed. The road to get there depending on which way that you are coming from is smooth but you will deal with some bumps and small holes in the road getting there. But besides that the sunset is amazing and great for a photo. The staff was great and the best part that at site 23 the restroom is right there and they have showers also. Not to mention that they do have rattle snakes and coyotes. While we were staying there we didn't see none but on our last day a coyote came out of the trees but didn't bother us. But overall this is a highly recommend campground to stay at yourself or with your family. We will be staying there again and forgot to mention that you will run into the most nicest people. It is really family friendly and pet friendly. And the closest stores are only about 25 to 30 minutes away.

I had a reserved site, showed up and someone was still in the site. I asked them if they were leaving and was told that the Rangers opened the site for them and that they were staying. I connected the Camp Host who did not know anything, they connected the Ranger. Long story short, it seems that this person in the site does favors for the campground/events, and was being bumped around to sites. Doesn't seem like a good way of doing things, because at some point someone is not going to be happy about dealing with a situation like this.

Codorniz campground is under a boil all water before use notice. Had a rather exciting time accessing this campground due to the closure of Road 29 due to washout from Chowchilla - it has now been re-opened.

Our experience was outstanding, from the Host that helped us find a site, to the Ranger that checked us in, to the perfect site with a view of the lake. It was all good!
