literally the worst campground ive ever been to. some d-bags camped their rv in front of the bathrooms and took over, some guy walked in on my wife while she was in there, more flies, ants, spiders and cockroaches than i have ever seen in my life at the campgrounds. they mostly come out at night...mostly. birds will steal your food if you turn around. windy and almost no shade and constant heavy military equipment coming and going during our entire stay. this place should be condemned.

Site 17 was a great view but no shade. Short walk to RR and next to a spigot. Locally you can see bison on a ranch. We parked and took pics :)

Very nice place to stay when breaking up a long drive on I-5 through California. It is off the beaten path, and is very quiet in the winter months.

The campsites were well maintained and the views of the lake are beautiful . Oh, and the sunsets and sunrises were stellar! The bathrooms, however, leave something to be desired. Theyre not the worst Ive ever seen, but its pretty clear they dont get cleaned on a regular basis. We tent camped at site 17 which has lots of space between it and any other site. Most everyone else had an RV, which meant they ran their generators. For the most part they obeyed the 10pm-6am quiet hours. But, 6am generators coming on isnt really ideal when your trying to get that last bit of sleep in a tent. We hiked one of the nearby buttes. A great moderate hike, with lots of boulders and formations to explore. The kids loved it and the view from the top was amazing.Overall, I like this campground and we had a great time. I wouldnt want to camp here in the Summer though. The heat would be oppressive and the water isnt close enough to the campsites.

Beautiful night to spend here in late October. Just my dog and I and the host! Sites are well spaced but no bushes so no privacy but the open oak land with the grass coming in was tranquil and as long as no partiers it could be ok. There is water in the reservoir now too. Maintained trails, nice boat area and playground. The bathroom could use some TLC.

The first few days were awesome as there was only us and two other RVs. Over the weekend it filled up and we did have a lot of people walking right through our site which was annoying, but what can you do? Otherwise, the campground was super clean, there was a sanitation station and water station which was nice, and it was a pleasant experience. Our only real, and very minor, complaint is that our pull through site was so unlevel from left to right, like 6 on the front left and 8 on the rear left. We just blocked up and called it a day.
