The Buckhorn Recreation Area is a quiet and convenient place for an overnight stay, especially for those visiting Lassen Volcanic National Park. Although there is no electricity at the campsite, this doesnt pose a significant issue for most visitors. The facilities include a clean restroom with water and lighting, as well as a shower room, which adds convenience to the stay. Its worth noting that only one area within the campground allows for car camping, so be mindful of this when making reservations. The lack of generator noise contributes to a peaceful atmosphere, making it easy to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.Overall, Buckhorn Recreation Area is a great option for a tranquil overnight experience close to nature, with easy access to essential amenities.

Nice winter campground; quiet, peaceful, dark night sky and pretty lake. The only negative was more Recreation.gov not noting that the bathrooms were closed and there was no water. This should have been noted.
