The cons far outweigh the pros, however the view is awesome and we do find ourselves here a few times a year.
There is no table, no privacy, unlevel, some pavement but mostly dirt, firepit made from rocks, must be self contained, a few pit toilets at the entrance, no potable water, dogs are not allowed on the beach, the highway is nearby and there is a train (mostly Amtrak passenger trains), all with a price tag of $40.
This site (and most of the sites) accommodate big rigs and your ocean view is great. Best mid week, which is the case for most campgrounds. A paved trail runs the length of the campground both north and south, which is very popular for bikes, walkers and runners. No reservations are needed until the busy summer months. There is trash service. Rangers do patrol the area.
