The campground was nice and clean. The bathrooms had flush toilets and running water, but no showers. You have to do a sponge bath. The campground is about 3/4 mile from the canyon rim at Sunset Point, so it is easy to get to some of the most popular hikes on foot. There is also a shuttle stop right by the campground entrance that will get you to anywhere from Ruby's Inn to Bryce Point, which opens up a lot more hikes and other activities you can get to without moving your car from your campsite.

Good location close to entrance. Nicely wooded, good facilities.

This campground, along with North campground, are close to the entrance of the park, Right outside of that entrance, is Ruby's Best Western which not only has a diner, but also a small food and goods market. I bought my daily bag of ice there. Very convenient. At Bryce Lodge, inside the park, also has a restaurant and a coffee/pizza shop which is excellent and also convenient. Every evening, I take a short walk/drive across from the campground to Sunset Point to view just that--the beautiful sunset on the canyon and Escalante. Make sure you go to Bryce Point to get an amazing view of the canyon. Sunset campground has very clean restrooms with flush toilets and a separate wash basin room for cleaning cooking utensils. Note, there are no electrical outlets. There is no bear activity, however, there are deer and squirrels. Unfortunately, at my campsite, the bees also wanted my food. Make sure you drink plenty of water and take it easy the first day there. Elevation sickness is real. Enjoy!

Campground is clean and has beautiful trees! We were also helped by park ranger to start the dead battery. Food at Bryce Lodge is very good but with the takeout model there is a lot of plastic waste. Showers at General Store are good but they close early around 5pm.
Unfortunately people next to our tent were rude and disrecspectul keeping late night chatter; the dude next to our tent snored insanely loud. Bring lots of ear plugs and some melatonin. Try to book tent site that back to nature vs the ones in the middle of the loop.
