We arrived quite late and departed quite early, so we missed many of the amenities of the park. The top benefit of staying here is that you are within walking distance of Sunset and Sunrise Points. Also, at $30, it is economical. Two areas of improvement If there is a wash station for dishes, we did not see one. Also, the bathrooms do not have a countertop making it more difficult to take care of hygiene.

Sunset is a lovely campground well located for easy access to key rim hikes, the multi-use bike path, and a shuttle stop. We were able to make frequent use of our bikes to visit the Lodge for a meal or the Visitor's Center for ranger advice. Our campsite was large and spacious, with good shade. The layout of the sites was thoughtful.I would love to return and spend a week or more exploring the park.

Beautiful campground. Only 1 bath house in loop a available and it was a very far walk. Theres a 2nd bath house that was permanently closed by us - would like to see it reopen.

LOTS of privacy with how large the lot sizes were. A bit annoying if traffic to your lot# (loop is one way traffic) but did NOT even bother us!

I made the mistake of reserving in the Tent only area which had a very short and steep driveway. We located to the FCFS North campground which was good. My only complaint, which applies to most campgrounds, is the amount of smoke from all the campfires. Hard to breathe.
