Sites were small and too close together. Rangers drive by every 5 minutes. Didnt feel like camping but being close to trails was the goal. Was pretty lame our kids were scolded by the Karen for picking up pine cones and playing with pine needles I couldnt believe it. We parked our tow vehicle at the site across for like 20 minutes while we got our rig leveled and was told to park it 2 miles away. I said it will be moved shortly and her response was be sure wheels werent touching the dirt once so. I know its a National Park and a lot of people come through but dont plan to come for the camping, come for the scenery its pretty unreal. Might suggest the other camping before you enter the park. Good Luck wont be back.

Nice RV camp spots in the woods. Just a short walk to Sunset Point.

I was excited to fun camping in the park last minute and loved being able to leave the camper van and get right to the trailheads by walking.
We stayed at Sunset campground in our travel trailer. It is beautiful. The Canyon is beautiful and had lots of animals around to see. It was one of our favorite places so far.
We have camped at loop A in Sunset campground, Bryce Canyon National Park for 50 plus summers and this was by far the worse experience we ever had. The work done during the summer of 2020 to “improve” the campsites on loop A did not improve the sites. Although the sites are now blacktopped rather than gravel, many are too short to accommodate todays’ RVs and accessing many sites is exceedingly difficult because of the sharp angle needed to back an RV into the site and the number of trees left standing at the front part of the sites. The sites for RVs in loop A need to be enlarged. These sites were most likely built in the 1950s and 1960s (or earlier) to accommodate tent trailers and small RVs. The size of RVs used today by most campers are much larger than those built in the 1950s and 1960s. Every night we were camped at Sunset campground there were several empty sites. Although the campground was “full” according to the sign posted on the road, this was not the case. Perhaps if a site is not filled by a certain time, it should be opened, and other campers allowed to use it. We rarely saw park rangers drive through the campground. In past years, park rangers drove through the campground several times a day. The group site in loop A of Sunset Campground was empty almost every day. We tried to reserve the group site in January for our visit in June-July but were told it was already reserved on the recreation.gov website. That did not seem to be the case. The recreation.gov website needs to be updated and made more user friendly. In addition, campground hosts need to be able to access the web site, so they know if a reservation has been cancelled or changed. When we talked to a campground host about the website, that person could not access the website nor help us in knowing if a reservation had been cancelled after initially being made.
Amazingly close to the trail which led to the shared use path- a three minute bike ride or so. The shuttle stop is right about the same place the shared use path begins. Very kid friendly - we have a 5 and 2 year old on their own bikes and it felt safe to get there. The camp hosts were very on top of situations and came and politely informed our neighbors of the generator hours when they were running theirs outside of those stated hours. Loved the limited generator use hours.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
