Clean, comfortable cabin. Refrigerator, stove, and hot shower were a nice touch.

We liked everything about this cabin. It is a bit of a drive to get to go on a gravel road. I loved the fact that there was a shower and the refrigerator that was working. Gas lamps are a bit touchy to use. Would definitely go back here again in the fall.

The cabin is great. I have lived in the area for 52 years and the Greys River road is terrible. The current ranger is not a good manager of the forest and lacks the ability to motivate and inspire employees to work hard. Lots of sitting around and not many boots on the ground actually doing what is best for the forest.

Beautiful little spot!
Stayed here many times over the years and hope for many more.
Nothing fancy but everything you need.

This cabin is in an ideal setting, surrounded by a river, streams, nature, wildlife. Great for hiking, sitting, fishing, whatever you enjoy. Meadows cabin has the necessities, but needs an update. Your stay depends on how the previous guests left things. When we arrived, it could have been cleaner. Plenty of wood. We had a great time.

If you want to get away from everything and relax, this is the place. Very peaceful, only sounds of nature. We'll come again!

Really needs to have a propane heater to help but once you get the fire roaring it heats up quick. Someone with less fire starting abilities would have a hard time with it as it was a tricky fireplace

The meadows cabin is the nicest (relative to Cazier/Labarge) I've stayed in on the B-T forest so far. It felt like there was more room with the kitchen in the back room. We saw moose and calf on the road and tracks of a few other wilds up the canyon west of the canyon. Each of the cabins I listed has pots and pans that have been left behind. If you bring these items please don't leave them behind as there are already plenty of used pans already. Wood is under the snow beneath the trees. Don't run over the buck rail fencing in the winter time. Take care of it so that we can continue to enjoy it.

We spent a lovely July week here, the wildflowers were blooming everywhere. The cabin itself was decent and had the comforts of flush toilet, running water, shower, and propane range, fridge, and lights. The wood stove kept us warm at night when it got down to 40 degrees. There were plenty of logs for splitting outside, and when we stayed there was also a lot of dish ware and cooking pots, even percolators and utensils. The rangers come by here and there to care for the horses out back and they were helpful. There was some light ATV traffic and the rangers but for the most part the cabin is well-secluded and peaceful. You can't see any "neighbors" (like the ranch that is somewhat near by) and can only hear occasional trucks passing on the dirt road across the river. Good shade, caught some trout in the river, awesome stargazing.

Cabin worked out great for a November camping trip. The only rental cabin in the area, I was surprised it was available.

Cabin was clean, convenient, and warm. Some of the chairs are in need of repairing the new latrine at Meadows Cabin is not handicapped assessable . We have a Vietnam chair bound vet that drives to Moose Flat to use latrine. Wood supply was more than adaquate and US forest Service Personnel are always friendly and professional.

Treat cab as long as the water is turned on, and the indoor toilet is working.
