The host never checked the bathrooms to refill the toilet paper. There was a group of 6, a group of 5 and two groups of two sharing a bathroom that DISNT HAVE toilet paper for over 24 hours. I saw the camp host driving around. There was plenty of toilet paper in the farthest bathroom where the camp hosts buddy was camping at. Why pay for camping if you cant use the amenities?

Great campground. Easy to get to and close to Pine/Anderson Ranch. The bathrooms were especially clean. The campsites are a little close together and to the campground road, but not a big deal.

The campsite was so uneven I had to dig holes for my rv tires on one side and use most of my leveling blocks under tires on the low side. There was a large group camped outside the campground that used a UTV to shuttle people in to use the toilets and used all the tissue in one day. One camper used a gas chainsaw to cut firewood at his site. I could go on.

This campground is so nice and quiet. It was my 2nd time visiting. The host was respectful as well as the other campers. No hookups and it can get pretty dusty, but it's beautiful and a short drive to Anderson Ranch Res. and the little store in Pine if you need anything. Tons of butterflies and hummingbirds, so bring a hummingbird feeder if you want some entertainment. The "group" spots are not typical group spots as they are very small. We stayed at one and our 20 ft. trailer and F250 took up the entire parking area, so just be advised before heading up if you book one of those sites - you'd be better off having anyone with a trailer get their own site. This campground will be added to our summer rotation. We loved it.

#12 space was quite tight for our rig and side by side. We made it work, but I would choose number 13 next time -more room. The host was great and accommodating.

Lots of trails to hike nearby. Campground was well maintained.

Once again Dog Creek campsite was in tip top shape. The site had been raked by the host and the bathroom was super clean. We look forward to another stay next summer.

We stay here for visits to Trinity Hotsprings every year. The campsites are always clean and the restrooms are polished. Each year has different camp hosts and they are all Top Notch people who take pride in maintaining the campsites. This Campground is small and uncrowded, just the way I like it. You can filter water from nearby Dog Creek if you don't want well water from the spigot. It all tastes great!

Dog Creek Campground is located about two hours northeast of Boise, at the base of the Trinity Mountains. It's a relatively small campground, with 13 single- and double-sites in the middle of a ponderosa pine forest.

Site 1 accommodates trailers and RVs up to 30 feet. We had to unhook our tow vehicle from our 23-foot trailer to make it fit in the space. We just parked the Tahoe sideways across the driveway.

The campsite was very spacious, with a separate tent pad, picnic table, food prep table, lantern hook and fire ring. There was plenty of room to spread out and the site was filled with trees, brush and flowers.

We had a great time here and will come again.

Dog Creek is a wonderful campground.The only issue I have is that we arrive on sunday afternoon and the dumpsters are always overflowing.I believe the trash pick-up isn't until Tuesday

Site 10: The camp hosts were lovely. They offered my son an otter pop in the warm weather and were genuinely interested in helping. The vault bathrooms were clean, quiet, and smelled fresh. Site 10 has a nice shortcut path straight to the bathroom and water spout. The only downside about this site is that youre surrounded by sites 11,9 and 7 with limited tree coverage. The creek was magical as we saw tons of wildlife like butterflies, birds, deer, and minnows. Its an absolute must for tent campers. I will be going here often!

Our only complaint was that the campgrounds had ash from the burns they did in early spring. Everything turned black because of it.
@RachelleC15915 · Camped on Jun 17, 2024 at Campsite #2
We loved this campground. Was super clean and the area with the creek was beautiful. Did t realize I booked a double site, but it was definitely big enough for us. We will definitely be back to Dog Creek.

was unable to find the campground. There were no signs and no one in the small towns nearby had even heard of the campground. I ended up at an RV park in the town of Mountain Home, ID. Since I was running out of gas in my truck, I didn't want to spend any more time trying to find the campground.

When your neighbor in Dog Creek has a generator that sounds like someone shaking a jar with pennies in it makes the experience miserable. My camping experiences are always good unless the camper next to me has a loud generator. If you can see the generator's engine, you have the wrong unit for Dog Creek so leave it at home. and please purchase a generator that has an enclosed engine. Harbor Freight tools has the Predator series generators and are affordable. Amazon also has a variety of quiet generators a mouse click away from your doorstep. Also, consider a solar generator, no noise at all but a little pricey. Be considerate of your neighbors in Dog Creek and bring a quiet generator.

NO TRAILER FRIENDLY! Site 011 and 010 are NOT trailer friendly and should be labeled as a DOUBLE SITE, as they share the same parking space. In site 011, a trailer's door faces parking (and back side of trailer) for site 010 AND leaves little room between trailers. Trailer in site 011 WOULD NOT be able to fully extend the awning if it has one. Sites 010 &011 are best for tents only.

Shortly after arrival we talked with the camp host about changing camp sites. They were very accomdating. Also the camp hosts kept the toilets cleaner than anywhere I have ever been. I hope they get to come back next year.

Great campground! Perfect distance between the reservoir and hot springs. Deb and Ed were great hosts!We had site 02 which backed to the creek. We were able to fit 4 tents, and three cars no problem. Loved that there were two large tables and prep station. Will be coming back next year!

Water: There are three water spigots in the campground that all work.Bathrooms: There are two vault toilets in the campground. The one closer to the main road does get some extra use from people who camp outside the campground by the river. We used the one further in and it was kept very clean.Site arrangement: Site 8 is the camp host. Sites 10 and 11 are right next to each other with site 9 directly across the road. So if you have two families, sites 10 and 11 are perfect to book together; if you're booking 1 site I would avoid 10 & 11 because your neighbor will be right next to you. Sites 2, 5, & 7 have Dog Creek behind which is fun for kids to play in.Site amenities: Each site has a relatively new fire ring, a metal platform/table for your stove, a picnic table, and a post you could hang a lantern from.Berries: The thimbleberries were excellent this time of year. We even found a few black raspberries.Burn Piles: It looks like the burn piles other reviewers have mentioned have been burned, so they are less of an issue.Hosts: The camp hosts are friendly and fantastic. Some of the best camp hosts I've ever interacted with.Activities: Even though Google Maps says the nearby Johnson Bridge Hot Springs are closed, lots of people were out enjoying them along the river. The trail along Green Creek is a nice hike with decent berry patches.Weather: It can hit 100 degrees here. We got lucky and it didn't.Internet: The Pine Cafe in Pine has good WiFi.

Camp hosts were awesome, clean facilities, beautiful spots. But watch your trash cans as skunks like to get into them. :)

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
