Only about 2 maybe 3 sites are nice as far as size and creek access. Road noise was really bad as you could almost spit and hit the road. The bathroom was nice and clean along with campsite. Somewhat leveled but no tent pads

The campground and outhouses were very clean and organized. The site itself was right on the creek with good parking, a level site big enough for a small-ish tent, and a level picnic table. Unfortunately I wasn't able to stay the night because of a very rude group that had taken the site before I arrived, despite my printed receipt and the posted reservation, and would not leave. There was no cell phone reception so I was unable to contact the rangers or sheriff for assistance. I do not hold this against the FS, just the extremely rude group that would not leave.

Was perfect weather and was nice to cool off next to river. Surprisingly our 10man tent fit.

Fun time however spot #2 is tiny, we had to put our tent on the gravel area behind our car. It was nice to be right on the river but it was LOUD.

Quiet campground with sites spaced out. Most are near the creek. Also, close enough to Idaho City to drive into town for any essentials.

Scored a creekside site and loved the 2 days I was there. Quiet, peaceful, relatively empty. Vault toilets were clean enough; pump water had a rusty tinge to it, so I was glad I'd brought plenty of drinking water from home. Would definitely come back.

Our site was probably the worst and should have been notified that a natural issue had ruined our site. As a tree fell and took out half the site and they cut up the tree and left it there in camp. So very little room
