This is an older, likely CCC era campground. Spots are small and often uneven. The bath house near us had no power or showers, but did have flush toilets. If you are looking for larger spots with modern amenities, or have a large camper, this is not your place. However, if you have a van or small tow behind and enjoy more rugged sites, this campground is delightful. We were in Loop T, Site 17. On the Rec.gov sit it does not show the correct location, it is right across from the dump station. At first we were so disappointed. But our 16ft hybrid (beds pop out of both sides) fit perfectly level in the spot and our firepit and table were up a hill in a very private wooded area. This loop has very little traffic until the morning of checkout. The stairs to many sites are old and a bit crooked, Our picnic table was covered in moss (bring layers of table clothes) and the benches were not even (bring chairs). But we had no neighbors except the deer.

Beautiful forest campground setting. Adjacent to many services. Very helpful camp host.

The campground pull-in site was very narrow-Access to picnic table had dangerous rock steps- Bath house roof had fallen in so no close bathrooms. Location was beautiful with good access to lake and trail.

This is a lovely campground. No frills, quiet. And a great campground host that helped us find a site better suited for our popup than the one wed reserved. Well definitely becoming back.

As with all NP campgrounds, you can expect a certain level of care. The campground is well managed and standard services are available. What I felt let this campground down was the condition of the picnic tables and fire pits. As most are under tree canopy they get a lot of growth on the tables and leaf litter. This brings down the comfort of the site. the cement benches could use a clean with chlorine water to keep them serviceable.

This was a great experience for an overnight. We were camping in Class C pulling a car. We were in T17, an easy, flat pull off. We were across from the dump station, but were the only camper who used it while there. Easy to get in and out and able to use our generator to cool off the camper before it got cool. Could barely see any other campers from our site.
