The volunteers and ranger were very friendly and helpful. We had no problems at all.

We always enjoy camping on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Like most of the campgrounds on the Parkway, Peaks of Otter could stand to be update. When it was built travel trailers and the vehicles that pulled them were smaller. Considering the the current size of units used today many of the sites are very cramped and difficult to get in or out of. I realize that the Park service has a very limited budget but it would nice at least some of these sites could be reworked (or at least leveled) to accommodate larger units.

Very quite campground, lots of wildlife, close to hiking, no showers, dated bathrooms
