Ended up leaving the same day we arrived giving up two nights that we had reserved. Multiple people walked right through our campsite regardless of our tent. The bench on our table wasn't screwed in so it would fall off when sitting. We recently purchased a new "glamping" tent which is 10x14. We called before we came to confirm it would fit but ended up with a 10x10 pad. This wouldn't have been that big of a problem but the pad was in poor condition so the rim was extra high and sharp. After setting up camp and hanging out for a few hours, decided it wasn't worth our time with all the people just wandering into our site. The whole point of camping is to get away from crowds, not pay to sleep in it. Just my opinion from a spoiled rockies camper.

Otter Creek was lovely - a place along the Blueridge Highway we’d visit again. Ranger Boggs gets a special shoutout for being knowledgable, friendly and helpful. He was always on top of security in the campground as well.

The husband and wife campground host where the best ever. We stayed three nights in a tent and unfortunately, Mother Nature did not cooperate, rained everyday, for hours at a time. The campground host checked a few times a day on everyone, really caring hearts. Of course the only down fall, but it at all campgrounds on the BP, no showers, but knew that before hand. The bathhouse was cleaned daily and very clean. Would definitely recommend and will stay there again when in area. The roaring creek is a plus for relaxation. Lots of shade and trees. Picnic table, lantern holder and fire pit/charcoal grill each site. Really enjoyed our stay despite the weather.
