We had a nice site at Linville Falls. The location of the campground is great. The river was right behind us down a little path. The bathrooms were pretty good. The flushable toilets were a gift, coming from a campground that did not have them. We actually spent two days hiking every trail at Linville Falls, as each one had a different view -- some from way above, some level, some from below! They are so beautiful and we could bring the dogs!

We have stayed in most if not all of the campgrounds on the Blue Ridge Parkway from the Smokies to the Skyline. This is by far the worse of the lot. In a word.. it is unkept. While the grass had been mowed, it had not seen a weed eater in some time. The weeds were so high around the picnic tables and fire rings as to render them unaccessible. The high weeds throughout the campground just gave it an unkept and poorly maintained look. Our picnic table had sunk in ground to the point you could not sit at it. We had to use bag chairs. We were told that there were others like that due to their weight. The water coming out of the drinking water faucet was almost brown. The restrooms were not clean. I could go on but in summary, we will not be back. There is a private Linville Falls campground nearby that will provide a better option. The only positive was the ranger program. The ranger did a nice job and the program was well attended.

Campground was nice and facilities were well kept. The camp hosts and other park staff were all extremely nice and helpful. The camp was rather sparsely populated due to our mid-week stay, and the hosts let us shift our site while Ida rolled through to avoid any unwanted limbs crashing down on our van. Nice little nature walk on camp grounds, and close to the falls trails. Would recommend for a van, truck camper, or RV. Probably not the best for tent camping.

The grounds are moderately kept while the restrooms are nearly unusable due to time and neglect. Every campground should be equipped with showers, this one, as is the case with most US Parks, was not.

Nice campground in a beautiful area. My only complaint is they kept lights on all night along a trail between sites 2&3 which annoying. It was not fun sitting around a campfire with lights shining in your eyes.
