We had a super relaxing trip. There are a lot of cute places to visit around the area

My site was right next to the creek and very quiet and relaxing. Wonderful campground.

The campground is beautiful, clean, and quiet. We visited in October and the camp hosts were very kind and very knowledgeable about activities and places to see in the area. The entrance to the trail for Linville Falls is only .5 mile away. There are numerous pull-outs and short hikes for beautiful views on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Also be sure to visit the Linville Falls Winery which is only 2 miles away.

For something different, i chose to camp on the parkway vs. staying in a hotel a long trip. I do a lot of backpacking so “car camping” in a place like Linville with great facilities was a posh experience in comparison.

It's a great location for Linville Falls and north. However the parkway has road construction going on so if you want to go towards Asheville you will have to leave the parkway. The campground itself is well maintained but is definitely more of a place to sleep. Not much to do in the campground.
