Great location and the Hosts were very friendly. They keep the place in top shape.

The location is beautiful! The campsite was very clean and ready when we arrived. The camp host does an excellent job of keeping the area and bathrooms very clean.

This is a gorgeous campground. We were excited about seeing a moose in the campground.

We have been coming to The Big Horns for four years and always make sure to stay at the Dead Swede Campground. We love the lower loop sites along the river. Nothing beats waking up in the morning with a moose and her baby calf sitting right outside your camper! The camp hosts, Dixon and Mary Beth, not only keep the grounds and bathrooms orderly and clean; they are also incredibly friendly and welcoming - always taking time to visit and make sure your stay is comfortable. We come to The Big Horns to ATV ride and explore. We love to catch the Big Horn Reservoir in the early spring when it is completely full. We also make sure and visit Freeze Out Point, the view is incredible. This year we found Porcupine Falls - beautiful spot. Garden of the Gods was an incredible experience in the spring if you are looking for wildlife - the numbers of elk were mind blowing. Moose are out and all around early spring - mighty creatures but always be respectful and mindful of their speed and strength. Always carry your binoculars with you as you never know what you’ll see. We love The Big Horns and will definitely be back next year!
