This campground sits along the creek across from a beautiful meadow, where deer and moose are often seen. There are several wonderful hiking trails nearby. The creek holds a large number of fiesty brook trout.

We didn't have an on site host so couldn't buy firewood, however could drive about 3 miles to another campground to get it. Our campsite was clean and so were the restrooms. We like to stay here because we always get to see wildlife close by, Moose, Elk, Deer, Coyote and an abundance of birds.

This smaller camp site is wonderful. Our site was right next to the creek with views to the east. The entire campsite is quieter than most others in this area given its distance from the highway with the only passing traffic being to and from West Tensleep lake area. We did see a moose and some deer near the campsite. Fishing was not bad given the low flow of the creek. We will camp at Island Park again.

The campground is very nice. Great views and good facilities. However, the campground host let's his dogs run free, completely unleashed. Every morning he would bring his dogs while he cleaned the bathrooms, and just allow them to go wherever they chose.

Great location for hitting the 4 wheeling trails, kayaking at Meadowlark lake, or just relaxing by the creek.

Quiet campground adjacent to meandering river, close to trails to access Cloud Peak. And moose wondering through the campsites!!
