Very convenient, flat pull through sites. We have a self contained sprinter van so did not need hookups. Great sunset view of the Everglades.

Camp host, Mac, was super friendly, helpful, and responsive! I enjoyed birding and relaxing at Big Cypress!

Very happy with my stay at Burns Lake. Used as a base camp for 4 days of Everglades adventures. Camp hosts were attentive and kept things orderly. Will go again.

I wasn't aware of the "quiet time " rule. At around 11pm the campground management knocked on my rv door, very sharply. I was informed that I couldn't run my generator after 10pm. I apologized and told them I wasn't aware of the rule. I then explained I sleep using a CPAP, I suffer from severe sleep apnea. They informed me it was a rule no exception. If I didn't shut it off they would contact law enforcement. I continued to run the generator for a short time after the encounter. I eventually turned off the generator. Law enforcement did arrive but the generator was off when they arrived. I had a sleepless night and suffered from extreme fatigue the following day. I understand a policy should be followed, but there should be some considerations in certain circumstances. I was very disappointed in the tyrannical attitude of the campground management.

This was my favorite campground during our South Florida van camping/fishing adventure. Super easy access and set up for our camper van. Quiet, clean campground with plenty of space between each site.

Twelve, nice, quiet campsites for dry camping on a small lake. Sites were gravel and faced the west for terrific sunsets. Reception Center at Cypress Preserve is worth a visit.

The site is great. Stars are all over the sky from this location. If you are OK with dry camping this place is outstanding.

This place was simple but convenient. Very easy to pull into spot and it's quiet and dark out here. Great for star gazing. There's a fire pit but no wood available so bring wood in if you want to have a fire.

Stayed 9 nights, never crowded, quiet. Bass fishing wasn't too good. Kayaking on the river is always fun.

I love Florida. This is my first time staying at Big Preserve and specifically Burns Lake campground. We couldnt have a better weather, clear night full of stars as there was no moon. Campsite is clean and even when is primitive we had no water or mirror needs. You can breath tranquility. We camped with 6 families of my Girl Scout Troop. Guided swamp by rangers were the highlight of our stay. It was fun, educational, and inspiring to the kids and parents. The rangers knowledge amazed me. Crazy to camp again in the same place, highly recommended
