Pull through established campsites with a fire ring and picnic table. All the sites have views of placid, beautiful Burns Lake. The fishermen there were not catching fish, but it's a peaceful setting with minimal wildlife.

The host did not acknowledge me when I arrived and waited to check in. My picnic table had been moved onto my parking space with the space number facing in the opposite direction. Apparently, so they could mow. I had to get out and move the heavy picnic table myself.

We loved that the campground was away from hwy 41. This separation made the campground very quiet and enjoyable. Burns Lake campground is close to Shark Valley park where you can enjoy a 15 mile loop bike ride. Another plus is that Burns Lake campground is in between Miami and Naples both big cities with plenty to do.

Noisy generators ruined the experience. Please reduce their hours of operation or ban them.

Isolated and out of the grid campground just 12 miles away from Everglades City. The hosts keep restroom clean and garbage is collected daily. Rangers patrol de campground frequently. Do not go close to the lake and do not take your pet close to the lake either . It is infected with alligators. The lake is not safe either not even for boating , it is extremely deep, and the Florida heat create current toward the bottom, even if you do not see. That is not a natural lake but an artificial reservoir from where the ground was taken to build the campground soil above the Everglades sea grass

Very well maintained, bathrooms very clean. We enjoyed the fact that it is a bit smaller and less campers so it was quiet for the 5 nights we stayed there. Very well located for a lot of things we have interest in.
And our Verizon jet pack regularly had a decent enough signal for us to use our data.
