The camp managers were amazing and met all of our expectations. There was an issue with our reservation and they helped us figure it out. I wish we could have said good bye and thank you in person. They also let the camp ground spotless.

Awesome National Park.

Our campsite was amazing, but without water the only shower options were at the village store (run by Aramark, a private company, NOT the park) and they charge outrageous prices to shower, so plan on bringing lots of quarters for a few minutes of shower time in low quality, poorly maintained shower facilities, or plan to go without showers during your stay. The park rangers were WONDERFUL and super helpful and friendly, the park is BEAUTIFUL and the wildlife is just everywhere and amazing to see so close up. All of the Park run areas were wonderful and the only poor experiences we had were with the private company that recently bought out the village store and RV camping areas. The Aramark company is a blight on the whole experience and I wish we could completely avoid any further interactions with that company. Its a real shame that they are giving a bad name to the park experience.

We had an incredible. The campsite was clean, restrooms were close, and the bear boxes are plenty big. We arrived on a new moon so star gazing was out of this world, came back with beautiful photographs. Hiking trails are relatively close, and horseback rides are available in nearby towns. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely plan to come back.

This was a great site; access to lots of hiking trails (Hot Springs (both ends)/Boquillas Canyon, Rio Grande Nature Trail), easy drive-up access, smooth/even ground for tents, bear boxes for storage, picnic tables, nearby bathrooms (cleaned daily). Couple of things to note, we had no cell phone service in this area; temperature drops went from 70/80 down into the low 40s each night, and the supply store has very limited items (no milk for 3 days, ended up asking another group of campers) so come well prepared.

Nowhere on the website does it indicate that you need to pay $2 in quarters for a 5 minute shower. After paying $60 per night for this campsite this absolutely should have been included. Water in the sinks was incredibly weak also. Disappointing for a national park.
