This campground is right next to a busy road, but directly across from Georgetown Lake. If you're looking for a quiet place to camp, this isn't it. But it was close to Phillipsburg, a town we were interested in exploring. We did appreciate the wooded sites.

This is a beautiful campground, we stayed 4 nights. It is full of trees and, the spaces are a good distance apart from each other, nice tables and fire pits. The bathrooms were the cleanest I have seen in a long time. Our camp host great, I just thought she was the greatest, always available and a delight to stop and visit with.
While we were at Lodgepole CG we did a lot of fun things, great history around there. We drove around the beautiful Georgetown Lake, we went to visit two ghost towns, Garnet MT, up by Drummond and the Granite State Park by Phillipsburg. We also went up to the Gem Mountain Saphire mine to do some screening for saphires, that was absolut great fun. We had a lovely time and Lodgepole was a great central spot for all of the things we wanted to do.
