For the most part the campground is amazing. The restrooms hadnt been cleaned in weeks (or it wasnt documented) but they were extremely smelly with feces on the walls. The reservation tags were also not updated so when we had family trying to get the first come first serve spots, it was confusing.

Our group reserved the group site along with five adjacent individual sitessomething we've done every year for the past two decades. Until now, we would have easily given a 5-star rating. Unfortunately, this year was a disappointment due to campground mismanagement, particularly the lack of an attentive camp host.The restrooms were unacceptable: filthy, with no toilet paper in any of them. We had to clean the restroom closest to the group site ourselves and supply it with our own toilet paper.Reservation signs hadn't been updated for several days and remained unchanged throughout our stay. The only time we saw the camp host was during evening rounds selling firewood from a vehicle. They appeared young and capable, yet took no action to address the restroom conditions. Often, a restroom closed sign was placed on the shower facilitiesleft there for a full 24 hourswithout any visible maintenance, allowing the odor to build until the sign was finally removed.

Camp host were the worst I ever experienced! And we have been camping there for years.The bathrooms were gross. According to the cleaning sheet they hadn't been cleaned for 10 days. I would guess more. There was no tissue in any of the ones we looked at when trying to find one that was usable. We had to clean the one closest to us before we could use it. The camp host site had signs up that said "closed" "no trespassing" "stay out" The only time we saw them was at night when they drove around trying to sale firewood. Things improved some after we found the man in charged and complained to him. He took immediate action.

My family has loved Mustang Ridge for nearly 40 years. This years visit was diminished by extremely gross bathrooms and showers. So much that it makes us consider another location.

The campground was very clean and well-maintained, and the hosts were wonderful and very responsive and polite. Loved the shade at all the camp sites! Definitely recommend to others and will stay there again.

Upon arrival, the campsite had some food mess leftover from prev campers like cereal and dog food scattered all over the ground and some dried sticky stuff on the picnic table, but otherwise this campsite/campground was amazing. We loved how close the water was (it was like a 5 min downhill walk) and the tree coverage was really comfortable to get some shade at diff points in the day. There were good flat spots for our tents and gorgeous views. We liked that we had to walk down a small hill from our parked car to get to the campsite and I feel like it added some space between us and other campers.

This was our second year at this campground (and campsite) and well be back again next year! Water was on this year which was nice. Bathrooms were clean, camp hosts were helpful, generous, and friendly. Great spot for kidsa short walk to the water but not close enough that you worry about any littles wandering into the reservoir. Adequate shade, room for our big tent plus a pavilion, hammocks, and more. We had a fantastic week.

As always, the campground is clean and kept up well. The new camp hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Our campsite, #32 worked well for us and was private. The campground was nice, showers were ok. Try the handicap shower, the water was warmer and water lasts longer. Also unfortunately we thought we would fill our camper with water upon arrival at the campground but you are not allowed to hook up hoses to the spigots as they dont have backflow devices. Its a long ways back to Dutch John to get water. We did walk to sunny cove to swim and that was great.

Our family has camped EVERY year at Mustang Ridge since 1993. We have treasured every ingle day camping, boating, fishing, cliff jumping, etc. up until this year. This year we were terriby disappointed!! The showers had NO hot water and were disgustingly filthy. Of course with no hot water to clean the bathrooms properly that is to be expected! In the entire campground of nearly 70 sites there was only one water faucet working. All of the others were labeled as "closed". I have no idea what's happened to this heavenly campground, but something has gone terribly wrong! If it's the US Forest Services fault or the campground host's lack of concern - THIS NEEDS TO BE REMEDIED!

The main bathrooms were still out of order, we were hoping the water line would be fixed by Time we went

This is a busy and popular campground. The vault toilets need to be cleaned more often!

Love this place. Don't tell other people! Too many creepy mormon crickets. ew

This was a great campsite it was really big for a single site and there was only really a couple of places to set up a tent. The vault toilets were close to the site and clean. Be mindful when camping here since there is summer rain storms and bigger bugs than normal. Sunny Cove beach was close and that was also a lot of fun.

During our stay we didnt have showers and limited water at specific water bibs in campground. Was told by hosts that it would be fixed by our second day. Was never fixed while there. Apparently the water heater needed replaced along with some pipes. I received an e-mail about water ensuring me that we would receive a 50% refund but I havent seen that yet. Was an inconvenience while there. Wasnt informed about this until after O was there camping. A local convenience store clerk informed me that the water situation had been going on for some time before

My travel trailer (30ft trailer, 20ft truck) fit nicely into a spacious and secluded pull through site. Very big campground with a short distance to the reservoir. My only complaint is that there was no water and no shower and no prior warning that these would not be working until we arrived and found a hand written note. This is a more expensive campground because of these amenities, so a small refund should be in order because they were not available.

There was no water at campground and no attempt to notify us prior to arrival. We choose not to stay and it has been impossible to get in touch with anyone to seek a refund.

No water and that was never made know until we got there. Bathrooms were disgusting. I used to love this campground.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
