Campground is in decent shape. Lots of weeds and dirt. No water or sewer hookups. After paying to camp for three days you shouldn't have to pay to dump your RV. The camp ground in out far enough people aren't going to drive out there just to dump their RV.

Not exactly the most scenic campground in the area, the mosquitos did not help either.

Campground was OK. Yardwork and landscaping has gone downhill over the last five years going there. Facilities were terrible. Thank goodness we had our own bathroom because even the one time I went into the public restroom in the D Loop there were seven black widow spiders in well-established webs all over the bathroom. I would never go in there and never recommend it. It was very confusing because there were personnel going into the bathrooms several times each day, and they had the brushes that are used to take the spiders and spiderwebs out but evidently they just ignore them.

Nice stay with 1 exception. Could not use the bathrooms. Staff in them several times a day and ignored the black widow spiders in the bathroom. We were on the D loop and the one time I used the mens restroom in a week I counted 6 black widow spiders all over the ceiling. They were full grown so had been there a while.

Get rid of squeakies and water the grass more. Overall it was great but too dry for having a giant reservoir right there abc the holes from the gophers are incredibly bad and dangerous. We love Lucerne though

The campground is far below what it used to be. This year there are very few hosts. The lawns were not mowed and had only been mowed is sporadic places. Some of the bathrooms were still out of order. we went on the memorial day weekend. You would think they would have things in shape for the start of the season. The rebuilt loops were full of wild grass 3 feet high. The new loops need to be finished with canopies. One of the bathroom sites completely out of order. More of the revenue needs to be spent keeping the place maintained.

This is such a nice campground, the camp host was also very nice and followed up with us regarding mention of some excessive noise the night before. Restrooms and camping spaces were very well maintained

Sites are roomy, with paved parking for RV, and concrete pad with picnic table. Park is clean and well-maintained.The $10 dump fee was an unpleasant surprise.

Stayed in site B10. Great Lake front site on the end of the loop. Nice and level. Campground was clean. Lady that checked us in was nice and helpful. Can get windy but its a good location to explore the area from.

My father passed away so we tried canceling on arrival day of a 16 day reservation. They refused. They could have put it back in inventory and given us a partial refund. But no, milk everyone for everything they can. Better be sure you want to be there for the full time! Not even partial credit. Horrible, rude people in the management office.

The camp hosts/check in staff were very nice and friendly. We stayed in the apartments, which were very accommodating for four people. The walls are rather thin so you could hear activity and talking from the adjacent room. The beds and futons were not the most comfortable to sleep on so I would recommend bringing a mattress, topper or air mattress to throw on top of them. But overall the apartments had, clean utensils, pots, and pans and plates. Would recommend and would stay here again.

The campground is located at the end of a really nice peninsula. The accesability of the sites is good and there is enough space for every site. But some other aspects are strange:1. We had reserved a non-electric-site for 25$ per night. At check-in we were informed, that recreation.gov has improved the site in the meantime and equipped with electriciy. We had to pay additionally 11$ per night in cash for a feature, that we hadn't ordered.2. The sanitary rooms in our loop were out of order. In the next loop, the only urinal in men's bathroom was out of order. In the only sanitary room in another loop, which is equipped with showers, 2 of 4 showers were out of order.3. To use the Dump Station, you have to pay 10$ with your credit card and then you have a time slot of 60 seconds, to open the Dump. Never have seen this on a US-Campground before.

We ran a YM camp out of Group Site B. The main issues were that there is very little information about the group sites on the website. I called the listed phone numbers several times to get more information, left messages, but was unable to get in contact with a human to tell me about the site. I did eventually talk to someone with American Land and Leisure corporate offices, but he was only able to give me information that was already on the website as he wasn't at the actual campground. He did offer to have the campground manager contact me, but that never happened. So this review will hopefully provide helpful information to future group site users:The site is quite large, we had about 50 people there and there was plenty of space for tents and vehicles. We had one large RV. There are no RV hookups, though each group site has a pretty large pavilion with 12 concrete tables and fence around two sides for a wind block, which was very very nice. Next to the pavilion was a post with two potable (at least we hope so) water spigots, which could be run to a camper, but there is no sewer connection. The pavilion has four 20 amp outlets, so enough to run a CPAP but not a large trailer by any means. We ran a generator through the night on the trailer and we were far enough away from everyone else that we couldn't hear it when we walked to the nearest camp sites, though we never found out what the rules were on quiet time, generators, etc. We just assumed 10PM. It was very windy. The first day a small storm was coming in and we lost three tents due to wind before we dropped the others and waited it out. The other days, it was quite windy from 2-5ish, but once the tents were really well staked, it was OK. The group sites do not have showers, we had to walk ~10 minutes to the nearest showers which had 2 of 4 working. Showers were plenty warm, but not super clean. Tee camp seems to be low maintenance built which has its pros and cons. Overall good times.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
