We have rented this site before and there were signs to indicate who was renting it, although it didn't stop people from using the bathroom.
BUT, the absolute WORST part of all are the disgusting, odorous, and overflowing bathrooms. This campsite is supposedly able to support 40 guests. I can tell you that this is absolutely not the case. It could scarcely support one more bathroom use as the toilet was full and almost approaching the toilet rim. Several members of our party were so disturbed and disgusted by the unsanitary condition of this bathroom, that we had to make several trips to the marina each day for relief. At gas prices the way they are, this was an expensive task.
It looked as if the campers prior to us had relieved themselves in the woods instead of braving the nasty toilets.
We tried for several days to contact someone to come clean via phone call, but there was no voicemail set up. Once we were home, we were able to get in contact with someone who answered and said that the cleaning crew boat was not functional.
Please get this place into the condition where it needs to be. It's a shame that no one takes care of the bathrooms.
Good luck if someone is camped there during your reservation... No one will help sort that out.
I believe the contractor host is American Land and Leisure. They've abandoned the Hideout Camp months ago as well.
There should be no charge for any of these boat in camps.
