Ive been coming here for years and have always loved this campground. However this time the water and toilets were turned off supposedly due to a leak in the pipes. We were not notified and were unprepared to have no water or toilets. Yet they still charged my CC the same amount of money. That is disappointing. Poorly managed.

Campground is showing its age. Wish you would hook up the water throughout the camp again. Overall we still live it.

HI, MY NAME IS PAUL SMITH. MY FAMILY STAYED AT HIDEOUT CANYON CAMPGROUND FROM 7/1-7/5/20. I HAVE BEEN CAMPING AT THAT SITE EVERY YEAR SINCE 1985, BEFORE IT WAS EVEN DEVELOPED INTO THE CAMPGROUND IT IS NOW. WE HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED IT, THE CAMPGROUND HOSTS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY NICE AND HELPFUL UNTIL THIS LAST TRIP. ROGER THE HOST THAT WAS THERE IS ON A SERIOUS POWER TRIP. HE LIKES TO THREATEN CAMPERS WITH GETTING KICKED OUT BY THE CAMPGROUND FOR AFTER HOURS NOISE. WE LIKE TO ENJOY THE NIGHT WITH THE CAMPFIRE, AND WE ARE AWARE OF THE RULE OF QUIET TIME FROM 10PM TO 6AM. ALL THE CAMP SITES ARE VERY CLOSE, SO YOU WILL HEAR CONVERSATIONS FROM ANOTHER SITE. WE HAD A CAMPER COME TO US OUR FIRST NIGHT TO TELL US WE WERE TOO LOUD AFTER 10P OUR FIRST NIGHT, AND WE SAID SORRY AND TONED IT DOWN. I DON'T THINK WE WERE THAT LOUD IN THE FIRST PLACE. THE NEXT DAY ROGER CAME TO US AND SAID HE HAD A COMPLAINT. THAT'S WHEN HE STARTED WITH ALL THE THREATS OF CALLING THE SHERIFF AND KICKING US OUT, HE ALSO FELT IT NECESSARY TO SWEAR EVERY OTHER WORD, INCLUDING THE F-BOMB, AHOLE ETC. THIS DIDN'T BOTHER ME, BUT I WAS THERE WITH MY 90 YEAR OLD FATHER AND 20 YEAR OLD NIECE WHO DIDN'T NEED TO HEAR THAT. SO THE NEXT DAY I TALKED WITH ROGER ABOUT THE COMPLAINT, HE SAID HE DID NOT HEAR US, BUT HE WAS GOING OFF THE COMPLAINT AND WHILE HE UNDERSTOOD THE CLOSE CAMPSITES AND HEARING CONVERSATIONS HE WOULD TAKE ACTION WITH ANOTHER COMPLAINT. THIS MADE US FEEL LIKE WE COULD NOT STAY UP AROUND THE CAMPFIRE PAST 10. I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO TALK WITH SOMEONE ABOUT THIS GUY, I CAN'T EXPLAIN EVERYTHING IN THIS EMAIL. WE ARE GOING BACK ON AUG. 16TH, AND I WANT TO KNOW IF ROGER WILL BE AS THE CAMPGROUND HOST.

The location and campground are beautiful. Always a favorite tradition for our family. Unfortunately the the docks are poorly connected to the shore and most of the lake anchors are broken or non-existent allowing a breeze to blow docks sideways to the shore requiring constant attention and concern. Makes it impossible to relax, day or night... The other issue is the lack of consistent water at the camp. Usually the pipes are broken or the well is dry. Other than that it is an incredible place.
