Green River (Manila) Campground is located in the Flaming Gorge Ranger District, Ashley National Forest (3 hrs 50 min east of Provo, UT) with an elevation of 5,544 feet. There are a total of 17 campsites which are all tent-only sites. The campground is open all year. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Prices start at $13.00 per night. Some amenities include boat ramp, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

My husband, our dog, and myself had a great stay at Big Tree! We were there October 7th and saw river otters and heard beaver tail splashing in the night. The views up and down the canyon are beautiful. Its a nice a secluded site with 3 separate tent pads (it would be very difficult to find flat ground for additional tents). Well be back!

We had a wonderful trip. The Green River below Flaming Gorge Dam is so beautiful. We floated from the dam and camped at Pugmier Pocket on the first night and then floated to Taylor flat on the second day. The Recreation.gov site and alerts were very helpful.

Stayed at Jackson Creek campsite - clean, spacious, shady grounds with room to fit 10 or more people comfortably. Two picnic tables and a fire pit with a cooking grill. There's no obvious sign saying 'Jackson Creek' that's visible from the river as with other nearby float-in sites, so it can help to have a map of all the campsite locations and to track your boat with GPS.

Great camp, plenty of room and shade. Lots of cactus outside of camp. Connected to a smaller camp but had awesome people there.

As of September 7th, 2024, this campsite appears to be washed out from some kind of flash flooding or storm. The steps to and from the water are tricky when hauling gear or walking around in the dark (lots of exposed tree roots with uneven steps). The rest of the campsite was solid! I rate my experience a 7/10, and it would've been 10/10 if it wasn't washed out by the steps/fire pit area.

Great camping spot, has everything you need and a couple of tent pads. Please remember to pack out all your garbage that includes that stuff you throw in the camp fire.

We stayed at 2 reserved locations as part of our 9 day 90 mi trip down the Green. The sites were nice. A little cramped for our big group.

Unfortunately we were not able to use the site. Because the bureau of reclamation decided to do the big water release over the holiday weekend we made the decision that it was not safe to bring our family on the river at that time. My review has nothing to do with the quality of the site but it would be great if the bureau of reclamation took recreational boaters into account. I feel it was a very dangerous decision to increase the water flow by over six times the normal flow during a holiday weekend. I hope everyone was OK and safe.

The fire pit was full of dirt and ash. Several piles of ash was under tree and along creek. The sign was not in the ground securely. Just had rocks piled up around it.The bench was off the rocks.

Site had plenty of shade. Tent pads were small so only able to fit 2 tents. Will work great for small group.
