Such a wonder park. Only wish the employee with long gray hair would be kinder. She was yelling to a customer on the phone, and was unbelievably rude. Maybe someone like that should NOT be working with the public. Campers are so happy to be out in nature and excited to camp, only to check in with a grump with outrageous personality. Ruined our day. Find someone kind and happy to represent the park.

I was born not far away and never realized this hidden gem was right in the middle of Little Rock! The calming waters flowing by with barges traveling towards the Mississippi was amazingly peaceful! The geese and pelican were a bonus to see. Playgrounds for kids and the hiking trails give plenty of exercise for the young ones. We stayed for 11 nights and Dee in the office was so helpful with many things. They even invited everyone for a free Thanksgiving meal at one of the pavilions. I grew up camping at a primitive Corp of Engineers campground in Arkansas so Maumelle Park brought back many great memories. The heater in our 25 foot Motorhome stopped working and Dee helped us get it repaired by HQ RV Mobile Repair nearby. Brandon was very busy but came as soon as he could. We will call him again whenever we need repairs! Its only a short drive to a new, large Kroger with everything you need. Theres easy access to great shopping and restaurants, then a quick retreat to the peaceful campground. We used our America the Beautiful pass and stayed for only $16 per night! We will definitely return to Maumelle Park and the beautiful Arkansas River!

Ive always liked camping here. Campsites are far enough apart so you dont feel like a sardine. Grass was past due for mowing but I still enjoyed being there this time too.

The woman at the check in station was not very pleasant. She wasn't welcoming. She didn't engage in conversation. Very abrupt and to the point. When I asked for a map of the campground she said they didn't have any. When I asked for a map of hiking trails, she said there weren't any. Then she added that most people just walk in the campgrounds, and then said there is a small hiking trail off one of the campgrounds. But she didn't say how to find it. To find our campsite, she said just follow this road. Her abruptness was on the edge of being rude. I'm used to camp host and staff being friendly and welcoming. The campground was nice. Bath houses were clean tho quite a ways from our site at B26. There was trash in our firepit which I cleaned out. I was walking my dog and stopped to speak to a young man who was setting up a tent. His fire pit was full of trash including a large crumbled up aluminum pan. There are no trash receptacles near the far campsites. Maybe this causes lazy uncaring people to leave trash in the firepits. It would be nice if the host or staff would check the sites when guest leave. We left during the day to visit some sites in town. We did not come back for our second night (Friday).

This is an awesome place to camp! Large sites and many back up to the Arkansas River. Also some nice pine groves for shade in the summer. The Tmobile wifi works great.

This campground is wonderful! Very spacious sites, all shaded by mature trees. Beautiful views of the river. Clean bathroom and nice hot shower. A+

Very nice spacious area. Clean. Its a little tricky getting pulled in at late night arrival for first time. Many roads and turns with no lighting,,,this isnt a bad thing, I wouldnt want more lighting. But maybe a small solar light near space number sign which is deep into pull in spot and hard to see as its out of headlight view. Spectacular sunrises! We will be back!!!

Great campsite! Workers were really helpful and friendly, bathrooms were always clean and noticed them cleaning thoroughly each morning. Thanks for the great visit!

Well kept sites with nice amenities of electric and water. Close to hiking trails and nearby restaurants and grocery stores. A nice amount of space between your neighbors. One of our favorites!

We only stayed here one night as a halfway point on our way back home from vacation, but it was absolutely beautiful! Would definitely recommend this place.

It would be better if all sites had 50 amp electric power since the weather was hot. Otherwise, we enjoyed the park and surrounding area.

We had the perfect spot on the river. The park was beautiful. We also went into town and enjoyed the Farmer's Market and a delicious meal at Raduno. Highly recommend.
