We visited in early April. Our location was quiet. Good spacing between campsites. We enjoyed the birds, especially the shore birds and the nesting red headed woodpeckers. Spring flowers were lovely along the nature trail. Seeing barges pass along the Arkansas River was also special.

The person checking us in on the 1st of September was rude and acted like a drill Sargent. We like the camp ground over all, mostly because of it's proximity to Little Rock. When are you going to add a shower house to loop F? When are you going to upgrade all sites to 50 amp and full hook up? Most other COE campgrounds we stay at are all full hook up now with level concrete pads and air conditioned shower houses. But most of all please inform you personnel manning the check in/out station to be courteous and that not all camp grounds operate with the same rules. Also that your campground is a COE and therefore federal and yes we can and do pay for our whole stay online. The ranger manning the check in/out station on Monday the 4th was great.

We stayed on F-12 site. It had recently been blowed off of leaves and was clean and ready for us. It sets back up on a small hilltop just above the marina. It also is beside What looks like the marina repair and holding area for different things. Not pleasant to look at. The fence hiding it is falling down. It also does very little to hide there mess. First you have to understand that that’s what they are doing in that area creating a mess. I understand that so It was no big deal to me. It would be nice though if they would clean it up. The rest of the park is beautiful and well maintained for the most part. Would I stay on this particular site again you bet. I t over looks a big field in kinda a soup bowl surrounded by tall trees pine and hardwood. It is separated from the other sites and laid out in a way that you have privacy yet can still visit if you want to with your neighbors. We had a 31’ trailer on this site and had room to spare. It had two parking places. One for the trailer and room to put the truck in there off to the side. Big patio aluminum picnic table, metal fire ring with grill. Bordered by landscape timbers and the ground is packed pea gravel. No lantern holder. Good water pressure. Each site has its own water and electric . No sewage at site. You either haul to dump station which is a ways off but no big if you got a blue boy and your use to it. No trees overhanging site. Yet plenty of shade. Campground host are nice and willing to help. They keep bathrooms clean and park clean. It is well used and people come year round. I hope this helps someone.

Maumelle is a beautiful campground that is very well kept. The layout is confusing, but the sites are very good. Little Rock is just down the road and has a lot of fun things (the High School visitors center, river walk, sculpture park, Capitol), and Pinnacle and Three Rivers parks are more than worth the visit, and are very close.

Very relaxing and pleasant weekend. Campsite was clean, flat and easy to access.
