Your gate attendant, Dee, is always courteous and willing to help. The park is well laid out and well maintained. Most sites are easy to access and spacious. The dump and trash collection sites are well located for easy use.

We have stayed at Maumelle several times and have enjoyed everyone. The gate attendant, Dee, has been especially helpful on multiple occassions including this one. The sites are well laid out and spacious. Most are flat and easy to maneuver in and out. Electricity and water hookups have all worked well. Location of dump stations make them easily accessible and convenient to exiting the park. Have not used that shower facilities. The internal roads are adequately marked and in good condition.

Such a nice park. Close to shopping. Beautiful from every space, big spaces. We've been here several times. The hosts are nice too. Our only problem is the water pressure is pretty low.

First, the campground was very pleasant. However, our experience with getting a site was far from pleasant. We reserved a site online that turned out to be steeply sloped for us to use with our RV. The volunteer site host referred us to the site manager in the office. The site manager referred us to recreation.gov, saying he couldn't do anything to help us. The person who tried to help us at recreation.gov found she couldn't redo our site because in the two hours between when we made our reservation and the time we asked to change it, someone implemented a two day reservation requirement she couldn't waive. While she did try to help, she said the only person who could take care of changing sites and waiving the two day requirement was the site manager. The site manager was not at the office when we drove back to try and resolve the problem. In the end, we picked a safer site at random and just set up camp there. The campground was probably at about 10-15% capacity, so there were many free sites and little risk of impinging on someone's reservation. The site manager eventually drove by our site and essentially said he didn't know how to help us. In the end, we persuaded him to agree to just let us stay in the site for the night. The runaround was extremely annoying and caused us to waste most of an hour at the end of a very long day trying to comply with people who couldn't or wouldn't help. Also, what is the use in requiring a two night weekend stay during the off season? When we are travelling we don't necessarily want to stay in one location for two nights, we want to keep moving. It was very difficult for us to find a place to stay at all since most of the sites required the two night reservation. I can see in peak season when demand is high, but in mid-October, in a campground that is nearly empty?

This is a beautiful park. My favorite place so far on our journey westward. Large spaces. Pretty trees. Gorgeous lake. Very nice checkin process.

Beautiful setting with most sites shaded by mature trees. Well spaced sites, although they are open with little privacy. Quite even when it was full. Some sites have views of the Arkansas River. Would camp here again!
