We live in west Little Rock and had no time for a long trip but needed a short getaway after a busy month. Maumelle Park was just the place! Always a great location.

This was our first stay at Maumelle Park, in site A 8. Sites in section A are in the older part of the park, which means drainage in this area is not great. We stayed here right after a storm the night before, and there was standing water surrounding our site, which was not ideal, since we have two dogs. We were not pleased with the outdoor campsite setup. The area directly next to your camper is very narrow, and uneven. They do provide an elevated outdoor picnic area, however you have to cross a ditch to get to it and with the flooding in our area, it just wasnt ideal. This site does have a big, nice field behind it for activities. Sites had great spacing between neighbors with lots of beautiful, mature trees. With it being fall right now, you might bring a leaf blower to clear the site of leaves. Overall we thought this was a beautiful park, would have just preferred a different site.Tip: This site is directly under pecan, acorn, and sweetgum trees, so expect a lot of debris to fall on your awnings/slides.

NIce clean park. Site map designator were not accurate would be the only problem. We had A08 and should have been A8, they have Medical spots on site. Hot Springs Arkansas was not far to go see some Arkansas history.

We loved our stay! Theres a view of the beautiful Arkansas river from almost every campsite! And theres so many fun things to do and see in the Little Rock area!
